Galatians 1:15-16 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: (KJV)
When reading through the book of Galatians, think of sitting in a room and having Paul step up to the podium and give a personal account of how salvation really works. I am not talking about some guy standing in a three piece suit spending most of his time hitting the crowds up for money, but someone preaching straight from the heart, so that the same truth that set him free may have the same effect on you. Psalm 131:2-3 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. 3 Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and forever. (KJV) One of the first things a newborn will experience when being born is the cutting of the umbilical cord, which means that you are no longer drawing life from that source. This same principle holds true when reborn into the realm of the spirit. The Lord uses His sword of the spirit, which is described as sharper than any other sword, to cut off the carnal things of the flesh, things you thought would bring life. Isaiah 28:9-10 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: (KJV) At some point in every Christians walk they will need to be weaned off the milk doctrines, and find some solid food in order to grow and mature in Christ. The revelation of Christ gave Paul access to a new source of life from above, and he realized that he could no longer live and be strengthened by what he was getting by on in the past. You will need this revelation as well, or you will find yourself not growing up and maturing into the person the Lord would have you become. Hebrews 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (KJV) Many people are out of shape because of a lack of diet and exercise. This same premise holds true spiritually because many operate more as children, than mature Christ like people. One has to wonder, why do we have so many goofy denominations instead of feeding the people some good solid food? Job 34:2-4 Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge. 3 For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat. 4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good. (KJV) Can you smell what the Lord is cooking today? Why not head to His kitchen and find out yourself? God bless dearly loved, and have a very prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 2:5-6 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught: (KJV)
Paul spells out the plan of salvation because of what he heard firsthand though the Spirit. In fact he heard so well that God used him to pen most of the epistles. Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith. (KJV) Knowing the gospel of Christ is what allows you to tap into the power source, and you will find that Christ desires to reveal Himself to you personally so that you can go from faith in what you have seen outwardly to what you are now seeing inwardly. The gospel of Christ shows us how to die to self so that Christ can resurrect and become alive and real to you. 1 Corinthians 1:17-19 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. (KJV) The doctrine of Christ does not point people to dead end, outdated rituals, but shows you how to walk in the power and wisdom of God. This is foolish to many because they are all in when it comes time to be blessed, but no shows when it is time to die to self. 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. (KJV) In these last days the enemy of our Lord has a title; do you know what it is? Antichrist, because he does all he can to keep the believers from tapping into the wisdom and power of God. The doctrine of Christ not only gets the attention from above and allows you to be a receptacle of the blessings, but it also makes you a target of the enemy because you are exposing the truth. Galatians 1:15-16 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: (KJV) When you were born, the first thing they did was cut the umbilical cord so that you were no longer drawing your strength from that source. The first thing our Lord desires to do for His people when they are reborn, is to attach a Spiritual cord so that you can draw your strength from Him, and allow Him to be your source of life. Dearly loved have a very blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. (KJV)
When Paul was preaching he wasn’t looking at how big a following he had, but looking inwardly at God’s people to see how much of Christ they were allowing to work in them. When you search for truth what are you looking for, an outward show? Or are you looking for a doctrine that truly feeds the inward man? Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (KJV) Jesus Christ had a large following for a season, however, it didn’t last. One week they were hailing Him as king, and the next they were railing on Him; and come time for the crucifixion not many stuck around. You will find as you deliver the doctrine of Christ it will not be popular either, but it’s the only one the Lord gives credence to. 2 Corinthians 4:15-18 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (KJV) When you were born again in the Spirit, you also died. The outward way of seeing and understanding now ceases so that a new way can be revealed to you, and the more you die to self and learn to trust in the unseen realm, the less the outward appearance of things will have an influence on you. Galatians 6:13-15 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. 14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (KJV) Here is what separates the children from the adults spiritually. When you quit getting caught up in the outward religions and rituals of man and allow Christ Himself to show you the true interpretation of His word. God is no longer looking at the outward, but is looking within to see if there is new life. God bless dearly loved, and have a very prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (KJV)
As we begin our quest through the Word our goal is to allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us in all that we share. The word of God is living and powerful, which in turn makes all those that partake of it alive and strong in the power of God. Our goal is to rightly divide the word of truth, not only encouraging and building up the believers, but also pointing out the warnings of what happens as a result of disobedience. As you will see, consistently throughout the Word there is only one doctrine our Lord approves and responds to, while all others, which I would put in the category of denominations, will be discarded and burnt. 2 Peter 1:19-21 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (KJV) Bottom line, if the teaching and preaching is not coming from above through the Holy Spirit then you are getting ripped off and robbed blind. God poured out His Spirit upon all mankind so that He could establish a personal relationship with His people and personally dictate His plan of salvation to each believer. Anything else, or any other interpretation, will not hold water, and will make for easy kindling material. Hebrews 2:1-3 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; (KJV) Your day of salvation is now, and the time for judgment is drawing nearer and nearer. Don’t let this slip through your hands, rather grab hold of the truth and continue moving toward the goal line. There is only one escape from this present evil world and it is through Jesus Christ who speaks in the singular that He is the only way, truth, and life. It is He who provides a life giving word so that you can stay nourished up in words of faith, and not die of spiritual starvation. Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (KJV) We will do our best through the scriptures to point out who the one Lord is, and the one faith He gives credence to, so that you can be built up and furnished unto all good works. Please, for your sake, don’t just take our word for what is printed here; take some time and hear the Lord for yourself so that you can know who you are in Christ. God bless, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
