Romans 3:3-4 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? (4) God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
The proper perspective on all of mans’ holidays or traditions should come from God and His Word. So whenever man says so… make sure you go to God and find out what He says; letting God be true and every man a liar. Just as a reminder… Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? So dearly loved don’t just take mans’ word for it; instead seek God for the truth of the matter and let Him have the final say; letting Him and His Word be the judge and jury of the matter. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (KJV)
We are bombarded this time of year by what man calls Christmas; and sad to say many so called churches have adopted this as a doctrine which they think came from God. In fact the reason this doctrine was ever brought to the forefront was because a bunch of wishy washy compromising Christians decided they were going to adopt this time of year as the Lord’s birth, which just happened to coincide with pagan rituals. Mankind’s downfall from the beginning has been when they would mix and match with other beliefs and things God said were forbidden. Kind of like rock music, where many think they can incorporate something carnal and outrageous and attach it to Christ. Yeah right, I can see the Lord now on stage acting like some imbecile out of control. Exodus 32:3-7 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. (4) And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, these be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. (5) And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, tomorrow is a feast to the LORD. (6) And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play. (7) And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou brought out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: (KJV) Back in the day the children of Israel decided to adopt a pagan tradition, and then thought they could attach it to the Lord and He would be on board. You can take the people out of Egypt; however it was hard getting the Egyptian traditions out of them. These people thought they could follow the traditions of man and then offer sacrifices to the Lord thinking it would be okay. Well if it didn’t float back then, why would so many think it will today? Jeremiah 10:2-4 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. (3) For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. (4) They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not. (KJV) As we see, this junk has been going on for a long time; same devil, just a different disguise. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? (15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? (16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, (18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (KJV) Many desire a closer relationship with our Lord, but in order to partake of the new you have to leave something old behind. Many today fall short because they try to hang onto old things and end up on the outside rather than in good standing with God. Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (KJV) So Church, enjoy this day in its proper perspective, knowing that we serve a God who can only be worshipped in spirit and in truth. Promoting a lie is not something our Lord has or ever will approve of; and let’s keep Christmas out of Christ and His doctrine. Remember, you can Google Christmas Saturnalia or go to YouTube and check out the information they have concerning the origins of Christmas and you will get more truth than what you are getting from many of mans’ so called churches. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (KJV)
One of enemy’s best tricks is to make people, and yes God’s people, think that he is their friend by the disguising the truth with just enough to throw one out of bounds concerning what our Lord accepts as His doctrine. Every year at this time many are duped into thinking something special happened on December 25th. Now for those that have rightly divided the word of truth and see right through this phony façade they may spend this day together with family and friends but they don’t consider this day or the doctrine of Christmas as something that is or ever was ordained of Christ. 2 John 1:8-11 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. (9) Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (10) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: (11) For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (KJV) The biggest problem with Christmas is when so called Christians make this a doctrine, and actually try to attach it to Christ. Every year billboards and signs go up urging people to keep Christ in Christmas. Well Christ is as about as far removed from Christmas as He would be from gambling, drug dealing and prostitution; and it is not something He would endorse. Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, (5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, (6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. (KJV) You know one of the first big red flags for the Christian (which by the way I am speaking to those that are serious about salvation and making it a way of life) is when you see the majority of mankind partaking of it. All one has to do is go through the Bible and compare the many and the few, and you will see that many are not headed in the right direction. If one really was to take off their carnal feel good blinders they would see right through this nonsense that takes place every year in December. In fact I would suggest that you Google Christmas Saturnalia and you will see the true origins of how this doctrine came into existence. Today many are crucifying our Lord all over again and put Him to an open shame when they end up exchanging the truth for a lie. Hebrews 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. (13) For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. (14) But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (KJV) Rightly divide the word of God in everything you do; and be open to the truth so that you can grow beyond the spiritual day care centers that many today call a church. If our Lord isn’t attached to something, neither should His people. For more information on the origins of Christmas you can Google Christmas Saturnalia or go to YouTube as well and check out the origins of Christmas. Then you can ask yourself honestly if this sounds like something our Lord ordained. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Psalms 103:1-5 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. (2) Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: (3) Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; (4) Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; (5) Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. (KJV)
With all of the busyness of this life have you continued to keep the Lord in the forefront of your life (body, soul, and spirit); blessing God in all manner of your life for His loving kindness toward you? Ephesians 2:1-7 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; (2) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: (3) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. (4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (7) That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (KJV) You have a choice each day whom you will serve; God or man. I pray that you will choose each day to renew your mind in the Word of God and be an example of His loving kindness in all that you do and say. Colossians 3:23-24 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; (24) Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. (KJV) You have been given a new life in Christ; you have been forgiven, you have been healed, you have been delivered from destruction and lastly you have been raised up and made to sit together in heavenly places in Him where He will satisfy your hunger and thirst, renewing your strength so that you can overcome and remain steadfast in this new life He has given you. Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. (KJV) Dearly loved, God’s Word is pleasant. Bless the Lord with your life and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Psalms 100:1-5 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. (2) Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. (3) Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (4) Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. (5) For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. (KJV)
Sing unto the Lord a new song; a beautiful melody flowing from your heart in praise and thanksgiving for the new life you have been given in Him. This new song is within the new heart, and comes forth in the joy, peace, and love that you now experience in Christ. This is not an outward show, but it is an inward worship in Spirit and in truth. My dearly loved brethren, you were wonderfully made; now let your life be a new song unto the Lord; walk in truth and bless His name for this will be well with you. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 5:19-20 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; (20) Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; (KJV) In each and every situation, in each and every instance we have the choice and also the ability to yield ourselves to God and comply with that which we have heard.
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. (KJV) Don’t yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin, but yield yourselves unto God and purge out the old leaven that keeps you separated from a deeper and more intimate relationship with Him. My dear brethren I pray that in all things you would continue to hold forth the word of life in sincerity and in truth, yielding this day and every day unto the will of God and not that of yourself. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance (firm trust) of things hoped (expected) for, the evidence (conviction) of things not seen. (KJV)
Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? (25) But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (26) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (27) And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (28) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV) Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (KJV) Romans 8:15 This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” (from The Message translation) My beloved brethren, be adventurously expectant when you wake up each morning, and greet God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?”, and continue forward, walking in now faith knowing that you have sought first His kingdom and righteousness and all that you have need of Spiritually and physically shall be added unto you. As well, hold fast the profession of faith without wavering; keep your focus on and press toward, the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus; and walk in an attitude of heart and mind that in all things you will expect nothing less than the best from our Father in heaven, because your heart’s desire is to give Him your best in return. Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV) 2 Corinthians 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (KJV) God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Even through our example we can corrupt the word of God by not walking honestly among those who are outside the body of Christ, the Gentiles. Read Romans 2:17-24, and then read it in this way…
Behold, thou art called a Christian, and restest in the law of faith, and makest they boast of God, And knewest his will, and approves the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law of faith; And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law of faith. Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest not thyself? thou that preaches a man should not steal, dost thou steal from God? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery against God? Thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege against the knowledge of God by worshiping the creature more than the Creator? Thou that makest thy boast of the law of faith, through breaking the law of faith dishonourest thou God? For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. 1Corinthians 6:13 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit. (KJV) Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. (KJV) We are a representative of Him, a royal priesthood, and in nothing should the ministry be blamed; in other words, that there be no appearance of evil, but that which ministers grace and presents the love of God to all. Titus 3:1-8 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, (2) To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. (3) For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. (4) But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, (5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (6) Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; (7) That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (8) This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. (KJV) My beloved brethren, be not as the many which corrupt the word of God, but as of the few who continue to hold forth the Word of life in sincerity and in truth. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. (KJV) Be not weary in well doing, for in due season you shall reap, if you faint not.
Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: (KJV) 1 Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: (KJV) 1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. (KJV) 1 Peter 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. (KJV) Acts 20:16-24 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost. (17) And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. (18) And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, (19) Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews: (20) And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, (21) Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. (22) And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: (23) Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. (24) But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. (KJV) 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (KJV) My beloved brethren, His grace is sufficient; be not wearied, but strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, and continue in well doing for great is your reward in Heaven. Matthew 5:11-12 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. (12) Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (KJV) 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. (KJV) God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Be wise in your thoughts, and useful in your actions. Your thoughts will bring you to where you are today and take you to where you will be tomorrow.
What are you thinking on, pondering? Is it uplifting or is it pulling you down into a pit of despair. Are your thoughts leading to peace? Being renewed in the spirit of your mind with the Word of God will lead you in peace and strength to walk in obedience and allow you to overcome the cares and concerns of everyday life; casting all your care upon God so that He can do the caring for you and lead you in peace. Your mind renewed on a daily basis will keep you operating with the mind of Christ and walking in the Spirit so as to not fulfill the lusts of the flesh by the leading of the carnal mind; which as you know can easily bring about thoughts that can lead to sin, despair, and spiritual death if not dealt with immediately. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (4) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) (5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (6) And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (KJV) Dearly loved, a mind renewed is a beautiful thing; so think on things which are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things so that you can be led by the Spirit today in doing the will of God and being prepared for whatever tomorrow brings. Ephesians 5:15-17 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, (16) Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (17) Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. (KJV) Let your steps be ordered by the Lord and then you shall delight in His way. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. |
