Have You Heard? Vol 26 No 1 - 04/21/2023 For approximately the past 6 years, Father and I have been conversing on the topic of “Hidden in Plain Sight!” And over this period of time, I have been accumulating information of what would be a newsletter or two, for when Father would say that I could finally put pen to paper. The verses that this journey all began with was: Mark 4:11-14 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? 14 The sower soweth the word. KJV So, over the course of these few years conversing with Father on, “Hidden in Plain Sight”, Father interjects another topic of “Love letters to the terminally ill”. Now stop and consider that for most people when they take the time to read something that they may be somewhat familiar with, that preconceived thoughts, notions, or previous influences of others is what will fill one’s mind when they read those things. Most people have forgot, or maybe never learned how to hear God for themselves, or never learned to hear His voice at all. How many of you, when reading Paul's letter to the Galatians, see it as a “Love letter for the terminally ill”, are you able to see it or perceive it as a prescription for new health as you participate in the body of Christ? Paul in penning this letter to the people of Galatia after his first visit there, was to make them aware of some things that had been brought to his attention concerning false teachings that was now causing a drifting away from the truth of God’s Word. Have you ever heard another Christian express to you, that they wish that they knew God’s will for their life? Or, maybe you have wondered that a time or two for yourself? Galatians 1:3-4 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: KJV There it is “Hidden in Plain Sight” the will of God for us to plainly see. Father has Paul say quite straight forward what God’s will is for each of His children. A prescription for spiritual health, clearly presented for us to see, to hear, and apply this spiritual prescription in one’s spiritual life, enabling us to continue to grow up into Him in all things. That you may know Him, In the service of Jesus Christ. Larry Gazelka Copyright ©, Larry Gazelka Good day. Today we are re-posting Make Merchandise 2017-03-26 a video and writing on the topic of there being many false teachers who are fleecing the flock of God and making merchandise of them. You can also access the video and download a copy of the writing by going to the Doctrine of Christ Ministry Archive page. Have a very blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Make Merchandise 2Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. (2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. (3) And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. (KJV) John 2:13-15 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, (14) And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: (15) And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; (16) And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. (KJV) We were watching the beginning of a religious program the other day and the preacher says that the Lord spoke and taught more about finances than about salvation and faith. What?!!!!! Needless to say we turned off the program; what blasphemy against the Holy Spirit which was given to us through the pain, the suffering, the rejection, the ridicule, and eventually death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. How could such words come forth from a man who says he is speaking on behalf of our Lord? Did anyone else turn off the TV or get up and walk out of that building? This same preacher has done many sermons about money, riches, prosperity in the physical; in the past this same preacher was hitting up the people for money to get a new private jet. Where in the Bible does it say that the Lord had all these riches or was concerned about them? In fact when a scribe came to him and said unto him “Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest (Matt 8:19).” What was Jesus Christ’s response to him… Matthew 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. (KJV) As well when the Lord was tempted by Satan in the wilderness before He started His public ministry. Look at his response… Matthew 4:8-10 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; (9) And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. (10) Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (KJV) We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus; these are the riches we should be concerned with. The love of money is the root of all evil; the love of money, a condition of the heart, not money which is a tool that we have to deal with daily in this world. These pastors, preachers, ministers, teachers, false prophets who are fleecing the flock of God while promising them liberty they themselves have become the servants of corruption for filthy lucre sake, because they waxed cold against the truth of the gospel of Christ and exchanged the truth for a lie. They started out in the Spirit but then they were tempted by Satan to change the message just enough to get more people to come to their organization and support them (instead of going to God and letting Him be their source), then the beast begins to grow and they need more support for their organization, and so they tweak the message a little more, and a little more, and then before you know it the love of money has taken root in their hearts, thus they have sold out to Satan, their conscience seared with a hot iron. As well, in these last days I am sure that there are those who go into ministry because they see it as easy money; to prey on the weak just as Satan, because they are his ministers. 2Corinthians 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. (14) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (KJV) They will be without excuse when they stand before the judgement seat of Christ and have to give an account of their life, their ministry, and the many people they led astray by their doctrines. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (KJV) Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. (31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (KJV) Many Christians today are weak and sickly because they have not taken the time to feed themselves on a daily basis, going to God as their source and allowing Him through the Holy Spirit to lead and guide them into all truth. They are not living by every word that proceeds forth from the mouth of God, instead they are living off of second hand man’s traditions and doctrines. Instead of coming to know the doctrine of Christ so that they are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, being able to discern between good and evil, they are becoming dull, lazy, and stupid toward God and His Son Jesus Christ. For many they are as the following scriptures... 2Corinthians 11:19-20 For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise. (20) For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face. (KJV) Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof? (KJV) We are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling; so we too will be without excuse when we stand before God and give an account of ourselves. God has given us all: His precious Son Christ Jesus who paid the ultimate price spiritually and physically so that we could have fellowship with Him and we could call Him our Father, and He could call us His sons and daughters; His Holy Spirit, our comforter, to lead and guide us into all truth, and to help us continue in the faith and become grounded and settled in truth and righteousness for Jesus sake. 2 Corinthians 4:11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. (KJV) Those who lay down their life for the brethren in Christ will not be looking to make merchandise of the people of God, but will instead point you to Christ in you the hope of glory, to encourage and exhort you in all longsuffering and patience as Christ be formed in you. So dearly loved brethren, try the spirits whether they be of God for many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, but look to make merchandise of you. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Continue to look to yourselves, that you lose not those things which you have wrought, but that you receive a full reward. For whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. So if there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. God bless and don’t be misled like the many today who are following those who corrupt the word of God for filthy lucre sake. Good day. Today's video Leaven Explained is on the topic of how quickly leaven (false doctrines) can spread among the people; our Lord Jesus Christ warned the disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees, or for us, the Church today, the false teachers, the false prophets, etc. You can view all previous videos by going to our YouTube channel Doctrine of Christ Ministry or by clicking on our archive page link above - Doctrine of Christ Ministry Archive. Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Today we are re-posting Resurrection Sunday? 2010-03-28 a writing on the timeline of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Since next Sunday is what many celebrate as Easter it is a good time to re-post this writing.
Sunday, March 28, 2010 Resurrection Sunday? Luke 24:1-5 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. (2) And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. (3) And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. (4) And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: (5) And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? (KJV) We are bringing this point up this week, because many have decided that next Sunday is one of resurrection. But alas, similar to what we see depicted in the verses above, many are going to tombs under the disguise of what they call a church and are getting the same results as the people mentioned above. Hopefully we can shed some light on the timeline of the events that led to the crucifixion, as well as the resurrection, one based on truth and not fiction. Once we realize that two Sabbaths were involved, first an annual Holy Day, which was observed from Wednesday evening until Thursday evening, and the normal weekly Sabbath from Friday evening to Saturday evening, the fulfillment of Christ's words becomes clear. The Jewish calendar days would begin at sunset, and go until the following sunset. Matthew 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. (KJV) The fact that two Sabbaths are involved is confirmed by Matthew 28:1, where the women went to the tomb "after the Sabbath." The Sabbath mentioned here is actually plural in the original Greek and should be translated "Sabbaths.” By the time these people had arrived at the tomb, our Lord had already been resurrected. A correct harmonization of all the facts demonstrates that Jesus died near 3 p.m. that Wednesday afternoon, was entombed near sunset and was resurrected near sunset on Saturday, exactly three days and three nights later just as He had stated. These are the facts, the correct biblical chronology that verifies the correct timeline of the scriptures. Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (KJV) So from Wednesday sunset to Thursday sunset is one day and one night; then until Friday sunset is two days and two nights; and from then until Saturday sunset is three days and three nights. Jesus Christ was resurrected at the end of this three-day and three-night period, near sunset on Saturday. Thus He was already raised long before the women came to the tomb before daylight on Sunday morning. Jesus Christ's words were thus perfectly fulfilled, as verified by the Gospel accounts. He was not crucified on Friday afternoon, nor was He resurrected on a Sunday morning. The biblical evidence shows the Good Friday-Easter Sunday tradition to be a fabrication. And given the fact that we serve a God that cannot lie, we then have to establish and build a foundation on what the word of God says and not on what man pawns off as truth. We will leave you with a chronological order of how things really went, and not all the fabrications that we have been bombarded with by a fallen mankind who only uses these holidays to make profit off of them from simple, mostly unsuspecting people. However, for those that know better or should “no” better, it is time to put away childish things. Tuesday Jesus ate an early-evening Passover meal with His disciples (at the beginning of Nisan 14, Jewish reckoning) and instituted the New Covenant symbols (Matthew 26:26-28). Jesus was then betrayed by Judas, arrested and during the night brought before the high priest. Wednesday Jesus was crucified and died around 3 p.m. (Matthew 27:46-50). This was the preparation day for the annual, not weekly, Sabbath, which began that evening (Mark 15:42; Luke 23:54; John 19:31). Jesus' body was placed in the tomb at twilight (Matthew 27:57-60). Thursday This was the high-day Sabbath, the first day of Unleavened Bread (John 19:31; Leviticus 23:4-7). It is described as the day after the Day of Preparation (Matthew 27:62). Friday The high-day Sabbath now past, women bought and prepared spices for anointing Jesus' body (Mark 16:1; Luke 23:56). Saturday The women rested on the weekly Sabbath, according to the Fourth Commandment (Luke 23:56; Exodus 20:8-11). Jesus rose around sunset, exactly three days and three nights (72 hours) after burial, to fulfill the sign of Jonah. Sunday The women brought the prepared spices early in the morning while it was still dark (Luke 24:1; John 20:1). Jesus had already risen (Matthew 28:1-6; Mark 16:2-6; Luke 24:2-3; John 20:1). Resurrection Sunday? Well, only if the true believers in Christ decide to wake up and serve the Lord in Spirit and in truth. Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
