James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (KJV)
One of enemy’s best tricks is to make people, and yes God’s people, think that he is their friend by the disguising the truth with just enough to throw one out of bounds concerning what our Lord accepts as His doctrine. Every year at this time many are duped into thinking something special happened on December 25th. Now for those that have rightly divided the word of truth and see right through this phony façade they may spend this day together with family and friends but they don’t consider this day or the doctrine of Christmas as something that is or ever was ordained of Christ. 2 John 1:8-11 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. (9) Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (10) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: (11) For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (KJV) The biggest problem with Christmas is when so called Christians make this a doctrine, and actually try to attach it to Christ. Every year billboards and signs go up urging people to keep Christ in Christmas. Well Christ is as about as far removed from Christmas as He would be from gambling, drug dealing and prostitution; and it is not something He would endorse. Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, (5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, (6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. (KJV) You know one of the first big red flags for the Christian (which by the way I am speaking to those that are serious about salvation and making it a way of life) is when you see the majority of mankind partaking of it. All one has to do is go through the Bible and compare the many and the few, and you will see that many are not headed in the right direction. If one really was to take off their carnal feel good blinders they would see right through this nonsense that takes place every year in December. In fact I would suggest that you Google Christmas Saturnalia and you will see the true origins of how this doctrine came into existence. Today many are crucifying our Lord all over again and put Him to an open shame when they end up exchanging the truth for a lie. Hebrews 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. (13) For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. (14) But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (KJV) Rightly divide the word of God in everything you do; and be open to the truth so that you can grow beyond the spiritual day care centers that many today call a church. If our Lord isn’t attached to something, neither should His people. For more information on the origins of Christmas you can Google Christmas Saturnalia or go to YouTube as well and check out the origins of Christmas. Then you can ask yourself honestly if this sounds like something our Lord ordained. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Timothy 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. (KJV)
Again, a few of the definitions for ‘give attendance’ are: to hold the mind towards, pay attention to, apply oneself to, adhere to, or be given to. Strong’s definition for ‘doctrine’: 1319 didaskalia (did-as-kal-ee'-ah); from NT:1320; instruction (the function or the information): KJV - doctrine, learning, teaching. 2 John 9-11 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (10) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: (11) For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (KJV) What doctrine or instruction are you holding your mind towards? Is it from God or man? Did you receive it by the revelation of Jesus Christ or having it been taught to you by man? Are you paying attention so that you don’t end up pleasing man instead of God? Because if you are holding to man-made doctrines (which include its traditions) and not that which you have received and been taught through the leading of the Holy Spirit you will end up pleasing man and not God. Remember, if we yet seek to please man we can’t be the servant of Christ. Flesh and Spirit are contrary; and they that are Christ’s are instructed by God through Christ, and strengthened, in that they are able to crucify the affections and lusts of the flesh which are contrary to sound doctrine. Sound doctrine is those things that we have heard and have been assured of in the Spirit. The doctrine of Christ which is revealed to us personally by the Spirit in that the eyes of our understanding is enlightened to the things of God and what He requires of us to remain in good standing with Him. This sound doctrine enables us to continue to walk by faith and not by sight; to hold God to be true and every man a liar; to discern between what is of God and what is of man. It is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, it is without partiality and without hypocrisy. It produces the fruit of righteousness which is sown in peace of them that make peace with God. We are known by our fruit that is produced in our manner of life. What are you teaching through your manner of life whether it be in word or in deed? Is it the doctrine of Christ which has been revealed to you through the Spirit, or are you instructing others to follow man’s traditions and doctrines? Who has taught you or is teaching you? Do you know for sure? If not, it is time that you look to Christ for your instruction and allow His Spirit to lead and guide you into all truth so that you know that you are holding your mind toward His doctrine and not man’s. Today, abide in the doctrine of Christ and pay attention to your walk; examine the things which you have heard and know whether they line up with the word of God; His Spirit bearing witness with your spirit. Allow Him to instruct you through this life so that you are able to be a written epistle of the doctrine of Christ. And be ready in season and out of season to give an answer of the hope that is within you when asked; let it be the doctrine of Christ that then flows forth from your mouth. Most importantly, if there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed. 1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (KJV) God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Galatians 1:6-8 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (KJV)
It doesn’t matter who or what source the enemy uses to deceive God’s people, the key is knowing, why is he so against the gospel of Christ? Obviously it is a threat to his kingdom because it shows the people how to be more than conquerors and how to triumph over the power the enemy previously had on them. Ephesians 4:13-16 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. (KJV) If you desire to be heading in the right direction, then it would be in your best interest to know who God put as the head of His church. Today I see many advances in the field of prosthetics, where a certain part of the body is cut off and replaced with something that makes it function. However, I have yet to see anyone decapitated having the head replaced, which is what mankind does when they leave out the gospel of Christ; you’re basically left with a dead body. Ephesians 5:23-25 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (KJV) You know, if you desire to move ahead in your walk then it would be in your best interest to know who God put as the head of the Church, Christ the Son of the living God, who is now seated right next to Him to mediate on our behalf. Just a side note, when you decide to get married to a Christian woman, that woman just happens to have a Father who requires you to love her just like Christ does His church. So if things are not too rosy at home, you may want to head to your prayer closet and find out why. 1 Peter 2:5-8 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. (KJV) The reason many are tripping and falling over this corner stone is because they keep misplacing it and falling for some cheap imitation. Again we see that by leaving Christ out we are leaving the corner stone of His church out also. Keep Christ as your head dearly loved, and know that all things will work for the good to those who love God and do those things that are well pleasing in His sight. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 16:25-26 Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: (KJV)
We ended yesterday talking about a doctrine, the only doctrine that will get you home, that being the doctrine of Christ. Today we see Paul, a man God chose to pen most of the epistles making reference to his gospel, and once again we see it involves Christ, which tells us what source this man relied on for truth. This gospel should not be a mystery anymore, at least not within the Church. However, when listening to many today I hear so much emphasis put on the name of Jesus the outward man, and so little being put on the inward one. Could it be something or someone is hiding this truth? 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (KJV) So what’s the big deal about the mystery of the gospel of Christ? Well it removes the blinders that are hiding the truth and keeping the light from shining in the heart. In other words, that is why we have so many blind leading the blind today and ditching the truth. Again, we see Paul making reference to the doctrine or gospel he knew came from above. 2 Corinthians 4:5-6 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (KJV) Have you ever watched a movie where they keep showing a person of interest, but you can’t see their face? Once the face is revealed towards the end of the movie, it explains the whole plot and shows who this person really is. Time to face facts Church, you need to know who Christ is personally and let Him reveal His gospel to you; so that like Paul, you can claim it for yourself. 2 Corinthians 3:14-16 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. 16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. (KJV) We are talking about a spiritual veil that keeps spiritual things hidden until it is taken away, which is only removed in Christ. So by leaving Christ out of the teaching, well we will remain blinded to the truth. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (KJV) Are you tired of the same old routine where it seems like your life is stale and at a standstill? Why not come clean with our Lord and face the fact that without Him you can do nothing on your own, well at least nothing that would enhance your walk. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. II John 1:7-9 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (KJV)
When asked about this mystery one has to realize that we are talking about a spiritual mystery. As we see above if you desire to receive a full reward you need to preach a complete doctrine that includes Christ. In fact we see that by leaving Christ out of the equation, we are robbing ourselves and others of the only doctrine God gives credence to. By leaving the Son out, like many are doing today, you take God out also; and it doesn’t leave much does it? Matthew 11:25-27 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. 26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. 27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. (KJV) By not knowing the mystery of Christ, you are not going to know who God is either. God reveals Himself to people He can trust with Spiritual things, which means you need to get yourself in line with Him and prove yourself trustworthy. Luke 16:10-12 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? (KJV) Today we have many hirelings preaching a watered down perversion of the gospel based more on a love of money than a love for our Lord. These larger than life do gooders are more concerned with earthly treasures than the one our Lord desires to reveal to His people, which is robbery to say the least. II John 1:9-11 Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (KJV) My prayer is that you learn to exercise your spiritual senses more than your carnal ones, and make your decisions based on what our Lord is revealing and not just settling for what many others claim is of God. Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV) From what I am seeing, when leaving Christ out of the teaching we are taking a lot off the table. Could it be that is why the enemy is tagged as being a spirit of antichrist? God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 Timothy 4:2-4 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (KJV)
The time to sound the alarm is now, because many are not giving ear to anything of real substance anymore. What once may have been sound doctrine has now turned into fables, and many are more concerned with pleasing man than God. (KJV) The Lord’s doctrine is singular, and is not really popular with the crowds because it teaches us that in order to live we have to die. In order to find your new life in Christ, you have to let go of the old one. 1 Corinthians 1:17-18 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (KJV) Many are willing to run to be baptized and think something spiritual is taking place, however, when it comes to what is really important, preaching the doctrine of Christ, many consider it foolishness. No wonder the enemy does all He can to discredit this doctrine because it leaves the believer powerless when he does so. Mark 7:5-7 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands? 6 He answered and said unto them, well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, this people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (KJV) When you eliminate the Holy Spirit from the equation and put man in his place you end up with doctrines. Today many of man’s doctrines are still based on outward washings instead of looking within. The Lord tells us in verse 6 these people are hypocrites. Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture says, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (KJV) Some people think that once you have confessed the Lord it’s all good. However, that is just the beginning, or the end depending on who you give ear to. As you can see in verse 10 salvation is a continual process based on the doctrine you allow into your heart. Dearly loved, hold fast to the doctrine of Christ regardless of what others are preaching; remain the few who corrupt not the Word of God with false teachings or manner of life. And let the Holy Spirit continue to teach and lead you into all truth. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 15:5-6 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV)
Double talkers say one thing, but do another. Sometimes they seem to talk out of both sides of their mouth, saying things to appease man. Given the fact that by our words we will either be justified or condemned, why not let the Lord do the speaking for you? Matthew 12:35-37 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shall be condemned. (KJV) Idle refers to useless; you know, like when you take your car out of gear it can no longer move forward. Man’s doctrines are an idle waste of time because they cater more to the old nature, not the new one we need to be operating in. For those that spread these doctrines it is like an arsonist who only used one little match in a windstorm of false teachings to kick up a wildfire. Without any living waters to douse these flames it will have eternal consequences. Matthew 16:6-9 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. 7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. 8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? 9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? (KJV) Now how do you go from baskets of bread to doctrine? Well the disciples were having a hard time determining what the Lord was referring to because of their carnal limitations. The Lord was warning them about doctrine, and how quickly it can spread amongst the people. He used the example of a few fishes and loaves to point this out. Matthew 16:10-12 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? 11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spoke it not to you concerning bread that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. (KJV) Within a short period of time a few fishes and loaves spread to all the people with leftovers. Now think how quickly man’s doctrines have been spread out all over this earth, which explains why we have so many denominations. You don’t want to be responsible for allowing these false teachings to spread, let alone the one that is passing them on to others, which is what this parable is explaining. 2 Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not. (KJV) The way of truth is evil spoken of by many who have added their perversions of the gospel into the mix. The root of all evil is a love more for money than the Lord, and Lord knows how many of these false teachings have got into the bread and spoiled it rotten. Dearly loved, beware of false teachings which corrupt the simplicity of the gospel of Christ and hold forth the Word of life in all truth and sincerity walking honestly in the sight of God and man. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. John 7:14-17 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. 15 And the Jews marveled, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned? 16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or whether I speak of myself. (KJV)
Have you ever been hit with the question, “what church do you go to”? It seems they are more interested in what man has to say than the Lord. The Lord was quite a teacher himself because He got His doctrine first hand. In fact today many will still ask what Bible college you attended before they will consider it legit. HSI (Holy Spirit Institute) is the only place that can give you the correct answer, and it is not located on planet earth. John 14:23-26 Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (KJV) There is only one doctrine and it only comes from one teacher. If you really desire to know spiritual things, then why not narrow your hearing down to a Spiritual teacher? I cannot emphasize enough the importance of hearing, knowing what you are giving ear to, and where it is really originating from. If you really desire to make it to your eternal home then you may want to follow the teaching of the Holy Spirit who is the only one that can get you there. Galatians 1:9-12 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. 11 But I certify you, brethren that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (KJV) As you see, problems arise when man gets involved with his carnal ways and thoughts. God may have used certain people to speak His word to you, but the bottom line is you are going to have to establish a Spiritual linkup with Him for yourself or you will end up deceived and falling away. Galatians 1:13-16 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: 14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: (KJV) Before you go on with your day, make sure you are not conferring with flesh and blood, rather go straight to the source that will eliminate any doubt or fear. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. I John 2:26-28 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. (KJV)
This week we wanted to concentrate on doctrine; what we are listening to, and who is it really coming from? The anointing you have received is the only one that can teach you personally who you are in Christ and where your place in His body of believers is. Take notice of the statement in verse 27 that say’s, even as. You have every opportunity to abide in the realm of the Spirit and continue growing and developing confidence in what the Lord is speaking as opposed to what man settles for. If you sense your walk with the Lord is a bit stale and there is not much forward progress, you need only to get your spiritual Q-Tips out and remove the buildup of doubt you have allowed back in. Mark 4:1-3 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. 2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, 3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: (KJV) The Lord uses parables to illustrate how His kingdom operates. Those that have the eyes of their spiritual understanding opened will understand His doctrine, while all others will end up drowning in destruction and perdition because they decided man’s way was easier. Mark 4:21-25 And he said unto them, is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed, and not to be set on a candlestick? 22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should come abroad. 23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. (KJV) A Spiritual candle is lit in heaven and those that take a seat to hear the Lord’s doctrine will be able to see and understand what is taking place. The ball is in your court, you can take salvation all the way, or you can have an eternity to ponder what should have been. Do you desire to be closer to the Lord? Then get closer so that you can hear His voice better. Step out in faith and more will be given. It’s not the hearers that are justified; it takes some movement on our part before anything else is added. For those that don’t progress daily, it gives the enemy an opportunity to steal your confidence, and impede your forward progress home. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Revelation 22:17-19 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. 18 For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (KJV)
A final warning is given to mankind in Revelation, a parting shot to keep in mind concerning doctrine. When we stand before God, we will be justified in our sayings and overcome, or be found guilty of slander, something I know you would not be pleased with if done to you. Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (KJV) So many have been called by the Lord, and yet many are not answering; or when it comes time to fight the good fight of faith, many sit in the corner and wave the white flag. Many decide to rely on man instead of the Lord for their teaching and find the door to their eternal inheritance shut. Matthew 7:24-28 Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: (KJV) Today many are still astonished with the doctrine of Christ, and for those that have built their house upon the rock they find it is not a popular one to build on; however, in order to keep your house standing it’s the only doctrine that will hold up in the Lord’s court of law, based on grace through faith. Matthew 7:29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. (KJV) What really got the people’s attention is this man knew what He was talking about, and then was able to demonstrate it by walking the walk, and not just talking the talk. You will find as you go deeper into the realm of the Spirit that you will let your walk do most of the talking as well. God blessed dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
