Genesis 2:15-17 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou may freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eat thereof thou shall surely die. (KJV)
Man was given simple instructions on what God said He would consider good and what was evil. Today we all have the same choice; and as we will see throughout the Word we need to know for ourselves what God says is good and in play and what He says is evil and should be refused. Genesis 3:6-8 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. (KJV) The enemy tried to convince Adam and Eve that they wouldn’t die if they partook of the forbidden fruit; he convinced them that God was holding out on them, sound familiar? How many times have you prayed for something and then instead of waiting for it to manifest, decided to indulge in it anyway? In essence man did die, because as we see above Adam realized that he was exposed and spiritually naked which is why he tried to cover up not only the outward man, but also tried to hide from the voice of the Lord that was calling him. Not much has changed over time has it? Romans 7:8-11 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. (KJV) Paul the apostle found out that the tree of knowledge of good and evil was manifesting itself again through the old law. Paul found out the hard way that even though he had a born again experience he was taken down by the works of the law. I have seen so many born again believers who have experienced the same thing; they profess to know God, but in works deny Him all over again and are dying spiritually. Galatians 3:10-11 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, the just shall live by faith. (KJV) Many like Adam begin so well, but then end up on the outside looking back in because they no longer live by faith in what our Lord has done on their behalf; instead they try to live by what they think they need to be doing on His behalf. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. James 4:4-5 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, the spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy? (KJV)
This week we have pointed out a few areas where the enemy has infiltrated the Church and the Church, in essence, has committed spiritual adultery. Many today are influenced by the media and what they portray as reality instead of seeing things from our Lord’s spiritual perspective. I John 4:5-6 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. (KJV) You will find that as you get closer to the Lord it will bring you away from what man perceives and settles for as truth. You will see that many sound just like the world in their way of thinking even though they profess to know God. Nehemiah 13:23-26 In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab: 24 And their children spoke half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people. 25 And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, you shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves. 26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God and God made him, king over all Israel: nevertheless even he did outlandish women cause to sin. (KJV) We see how the downfall of the Jews was intermingling with those of the world and what it took to remedy the situation. The same situation applies today and is nothing new; not much has changed because many who claim to be Christians also speak the same language as those of the world. Luke 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets. (KJV) What you will find if you decide to take a stand with the Lord is that you will no longer jive with the world. It is at that point that you have to decide who you are going to please and not waver or cheat on our Lord. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (KJV) Who and what has the most influence on you today? Dearly loved we pray that you might let the Spirit influence you more than the world and its ways today; so come out from among the world and be separated unto the Lord where there is life and life more abundantly. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. James 4:3-4 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (KJV)
Many today are asking for things that are not healthy to their walk with the Lord; they are seeking more to please the outward rather than the inward man they committed to. Just like in a marriage when one or the other strays outside the marriage commitment it ends up in divorce. Well, spiritually many have cheated on our Lord and someday when they show up at the altar for the wedding they will find their plan altered. Mark 12:14-17 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and cares for no man: for thou regards not the person of men, but teaches the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? 15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, why tempt ye me? Bring me a penny, that I may see it. 16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's. 17 And Jesus answering said unto them, render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him. (KJV) One of the areas the so called church is cheating on the Lord is in the area of taxes, where they sidestep their obligations. I see in verse 15 above that the term hypocrisy is used. I thought the Church was supposed to set the example for the world, not the other way around? Matthew 22:16-18 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teaches the way of God in truth, neither cares thou for any man: for thou regards not the person of men. 17 Tell us therefore, what thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? 18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? (KJV) As we see our Lord is consistent in where He stands with this obligation; and given the fact that our Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever, any organization that doesn’t fulfill their obligations concerning this matter will be labeled hypocrites as well; not something you should be supporting. Luke 20:22-25 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no? 23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, why tempt ye me? 24 Show me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's. 25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's. (KJV) You can add craftiness to that list also, which refers to trickery. How many have allowed the enemy to play tricks on them thinking they can sidestep their obligations when it comes to taxes? Romans 13:6-8 For for this cause pay you tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. 8 Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loves another hath fulfilled the law. (KJV) I don’t care what kind of reasons they use; we are either with our Lord or against Him. Guilt by association is not an excuse. (KJV)
So much of the world and its fallen ways have slipped right past the spiritual radars of many and have infiltrated those that are seeking truth; much of what man calls a church today will not float with our Lord and is sinking quickly into the abyss of darkness. John 2:23-25 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. 24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, 25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man. (KJV) Today it seems like many are looking to make a name for themselves rather than proclaiming the name which is above every name. Our Lord did not spend His time making a name for himself or looking for mans’ approval; instead we see the opposite is true. Do you need someone’s approval or are you no longer concerned with what man thinks of you? 2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. (KJV) It seems like many think a church is like a business or corporation where bigger is better. Many spend more time comparing themselves with others and trying to make a name for their organizations instead of teaching the people who they are in Christ and how to measure their lives by His standard; now that’s when you make some real progress in your walk Church. John 7:6-7 Then Jesus said unto them, my time is not yet come: but your time is always ready. 7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. (KJV) A true man or woman of God is not going to be popular with the people, because the deeper you walk with the Lord the more it contradicts the world. The more you see and speak things that pertain to the Lord, the more it exposes the wannabe’s and pretenders whose motives for serving the Lord are not exactly legitimate. John 15:17-19 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 18 If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. (KJV) Oh and please don’t take it personally if you get some heat from the so called believers. After all it wasn’t the heathen that crucified our Lord rather it was those that claimed they were believers. As I look around today I see many who are crucifying the Lord all over again with their fallen doctrines which are based more on the world’s standards and not on our Lord’s. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Mark 11:15-17 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; 16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. 17 And he taught, saying unto them, is it not written, my house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? But ye have made it a den of thieves. (KJV)
We have been talking about spiritual adultery, what it entails and how our Lord sees things from where he is seated. When our Lord went into the temple and saw the abomination taking place he didn’t lend His support to their hypocrisy. I bring this up because it seems like as soon as the Lord left, many have decided to set up the tables again and are thinking they can make merchandise of the Church. Luke 21:1-4 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3 And he said, of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. (KJV) As we see above our Lord did acknowledge an offering, however, we see how differently he viewed it. I say this because I recently turned on the TV only to be inundated with another of mans’ so called ministries and one of their ungodly telethons taking place. Oddly enough, not only were they peddling their goods to the highest bidders, but they kept offering more perks to those that gave the most, which totally contradicts how the Lord views it. James 2:1-4 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. 2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; 3 And ye have respect to him that wears the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: 4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? (KJV) Talk about spiritual adultery; since when does the Church give more honor to the rich than the poor? Apparently once you have a worldwide audience and a so called ministry, anything goes right? What amazes me is that this slips right past the radars of many who should know better. Oh and for those who support this nonsense, shame on you for not taking a stand, and thinking just because they are big they are legitimate as far as the Lord is concerned. Acts 8:18-20 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19 Saying, Give me also this power that on whomsoever I lay hands; he may receive the Holy Ghost. 20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. (KJV) I have another question; during all their money pitches they kept referring to the gifts of the people as being large and small; I am wondering, what is the cutoff point where one goes from a small gift to a large one? Is it only based on the outward amounts and not the inward one where our Lord is looking? As we see illustrated above the gift of God couldn’t be purchased before, what makes anyone think it can be today? God bless dearly loved and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Psalms 50:17-19 Seeing thou hates instruction, and casts my words behind thee. 18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consented with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. 19 Thou gives thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frames deceit. (KJV)
When you accepted salvation and pledged your life to the Lord you were enlightened; and like a marriage vow, you vow that you will walk with our Lord and not do anything that would damage that relationship with Him. We have all heard about adultery and what it entails according to the flesh, however, there is another definition that involves the realm of the Spirit. Many of God’s people have limited their understanding to the outward and are committing spiritual adultery without even realizing it. In fact, one of the definitions for adultery is idolatrous worship. Matthew 19:7-9 They say unto him, why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say unto you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another commits adultery: and whoso marries her who is put away doth commit adultery. (KJV) Now I have heard it said by many professing Christians that “God hates divorce”. I have seen others who carry a backpack full of guilt thinking because they are divorced they are cursed and unable to move forward if they decide to remarry. Well, fornication and adultery go beyond the realm of the flesh, and is a byproduct of something that began in the spirit. The fornication our Lord is pointing out today begins in the spirit, and many times manifests itself in the form of so called churches, which is worse than the physical cheating. James 4:1-2 From whence come wars and fighting’s among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. (KJV) What happened to the peace you had in the beginning of your walk with the Lord, where did it go? Well, like a husband or wife who decides to step outside the marriage and seek attention, you may have stirred up a hornets’ nest inside. (KJV) Some of these places and organizations that call themselves churches are nothing short of an abomination in the sight of our Lord. Some of the pastors and prophets have sold their souls for the approval of man more than God. Many need a bill of divorcement from those who profess to know God, but their lifestyles are just like the world. Jeremiah 23:10-11 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourns; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil and their force is not right. 11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD. (KJV) We are warned that in the last days things are not going to get better, but worse. So as we go along this week and point out areas where the enemy has infiltrated the church, ask yourself, how does the Lord really see me and is it all good? God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord dearly loved. 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (KJV)
In a moment our life can change; in the twinkling of an eye we may be out of here. If you recall, the foolish virgins did not make ready, their lamps were not filled enough to make their way to the bride groom; sure they tried to get the wise to give up some of their oil, but them being wise did not offer but told them to go to the merchants and buy from them; thus as we know, that is what they did, and when they finally reached the bridegroom, thinking that they had made it, they found out the door had been shut, they were too late; as did those in the days of Noah. Is this the position that you want to find yourself in when that time comes? I sure don’t. Matthew 25:1-13 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (KJV) So daily, examine yourself and ask ‘have I thus far been as the wise virgins and kept my lamp full of the pure oil, the word of God, so that when the trumpet sounds I have made ready and I am on my way to meet the bride groom?’ Not always an easy thing to do, to examine ourselves, but in the end if we heed the correction and instruction needed to continue in His righteousness, to keep the oil pure and our lamp full, we will have made ready being wise, and will meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Dearly loved, with these words do I comfort your heart this day that you may know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord… In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, there is a reward that was laid up in Heaven for you from the foundation of the world; a crown of righteousness. I encourage each of you to fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, and don’t let it go; for it is the life that God our Father, who cannot lie, promised to those who endure unto the end. It is there for the taking; in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye... God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. (KJV)
Thayers definition for ‘take ye heed’: - to see, to discern - b) to discern mentally, to observe, to perceive, to discover, to understand, to look at, to weigh carefully, to turn the thoughts or direct the mind to a thing, to consider, to comptemplate, to examine With all that is going on around us in this world today, the frequency of uprisings, earthquakes, severe weather, as well as all the other horrors that we hear about in society, how much longer will the Lord tarry? Mankind is imploding upon itself and there is no one except for the Lord who is able to make all the wrongs of mankind right; and He is only able to do this because He was counted righteous and worthy through His sacrifice for mankind (physically & spiritually) and is given charge of the judgment to come upon mankind. He is the rule, the measuring stick by which we will be judged righteous and worthy of eternal life in His kingdom. Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. (KJV) Dearly loved brethren in Christ, my prayer is that each of you will continue vigilant unto the end; be observant and examine all things whether they be of God, and please don’t be ignorant to what is going on around you; be always alert and on guard Spiritually for our time is short; need I say more…. 1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. (KJV) Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. (KJV) God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; (KJV)
Your will find in your walk with the Lord that as you go along on the path of life that old things are going to die off and become obsolete, being replaced with a new and better way of doing things. You will also find that things and ways that used to work in your past will become outdated, as it is time to step into a new realm with a new way of thinking. The word ‘season’ refers to appointment; and the question now becomes, will you show up and be ready when scheduled for the Lord’s appointment? 2 Kings 5:9-11 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. 11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. (KJV) Have you become a bit of a realist lately in your walk with the Lord; you know where you are more apt to hold to what seems practical? We all do at times, because we would rather stay in our comfort zones instead of stepping out into a new realm where our Lord would have us so that we can experience new results. The answer for Naaman was simple yet became complicated when his reasoning got in the way, because he decided how God was going to bring the healing. Have you missed out on an opportunity because you decided it wasn’t according to the norm, or the way it used to be? 2 Kiings 5:12-14 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. 13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean? 14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. (KJV) How much more would God like to do for His people if they weren’t such sticks in the mud, so set in their own way of thinking? We need to quit being so fearful or full of doubt, and know that when God speaks to us and asks us to step out then we should expect the best and not think the worst any longer. But folks the catch is, that you have got to get out there on the Lord’s turf, on His field if you want to get His results. Mark 16:17-20 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (KJV) How many Christians are just sitting around waiting for something to happen rather than stepping out where the Lord is operating, and then watch Him confirm His word with signs following? It’s kind of like sitting in your living room waiting for someone to show up with a road sign rather than getting in your vehicle and starting down the road where you will see the signs confirming that you are on the right path. Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. (KJV) Is there a window or a door of opportunity, an open season right now just waiting for you to step into? Yeah I know it is not easy, because although the Spirit is willing it’s our flesh and carnal mind and reasoning that doesn’t want to let go of the old and what we think is the safe way of doing things. The just shall live and walk by faith, a faith that is made stronger by the things not seen in the outward but rather confirmed inwardly by the peace of God. So dearly loved, continue to let the peace of God rule and expect a totally new season to spring forth. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Matthew 14:28-31 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? (KJV)
When we see the word ‘doubt’ it refers to staggering, wavering, as well as hesitation being mentioned in the definition. We see that Peter did walk on water for a while, but then the carnal mind or reasoning took over again and flooded his mind. You know, our Lord wasn’t angry with Peter so much as He was hurt when asking ‘why did you doubt?’ How many times have we walked with the Lord only to let just a little bit of doubt enter in until we ended up sinking because we gave ear to the winds of doctrines that were blowing all around us? 1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (KJV) Today when you step out in faith having allowed the Lord to lift you up above the stormy seas of life, keep a close watch on your heart and don’t allow any form of doubt or unbelief get past your shield of faith and take you down under. When casting your care the Lord’s way leave it there at the altar, move on and don’t keep looking back to see how He is handling things. Mark 11:21-24 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (KJV) No doubt you have desires in your life concerning your walk with the Lord and how you can grow more confident in your prayers, that they are not only being heard but that you will get the results from above. Keeping the doubt and unbelief outside of your temple will keep you afloat, above the cares and concerns of this temporal life so that you won’t end up drowning again in destruction and perdition. Mark 5:35-36 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. (KJV) If you go back and read this chapter in its entirety you see that our Lord was just finished with healing the woman who had an issue of blood, only to then encounter a situation that seemed dead. Please do take note of verse 36, and how quickly our Lord responded to a word that was contrary to what our Lord knew was truth. Dearly loved, in conclusion, rather than give ear to the doubt which would then lead to fear, our Lord responded in a way that brought life back to the situation. So today, will you keep a close watch on your heart and what you allow in so that you too can continue to walk in the place where the Lord would have you to be with results you never thought were possible?
