Good day. Today's video Highly Motivated is on the topic of: Are you highly motivated in serving God or men? What is the motive of your heart when you pray, when you worship, when you share the gospel of Christ, is it to be seen of men or are you doing these things truly seeking to please the Lord? We are to enter into our own closet and shut the door and pray to our Father who is in secret, and our heavenly Father who sees in secret (the motive of our heart) will reward us openly. We are to worship our Father in spirit and in truth, for our Father seeks such to worship him (God is a Spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth), not as an outward show that others can glory in our fleshly display of worship that men teach. We are to share the gospel of Christ in sincerity and in truth, not for the sake of money or to be seen of men, it is doing all things whole heartedly as unto the Lord and not unto men. We cannot serve two masters; for either we will hate the one and love the other; or else we will hold to the one and despise the other. We cannot serve God and mammon (money); and it is written that the love of money is the root of all evil, and for many they will compromise the gospel of Christ to keep the people happy and in the pews, which stinks to high heaven; or they will compromise their faith and walk in Christ for the things of this life or to please men; money answers all things, it reveals the motive of the heart. Ecclesiastes 5:13-15 There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt. But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand. As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand (KJV). John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed (KJV). Proverbs 23:4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom (KJV). We cannot please God and men; a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. The LORD sees not as man sees, for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart (the motive), he knows the secrets of the heart, the righteous God tries the hearts and reins (mind) (1 Samuel 6:7, Psalms 44:21, Psalms 7:9). Remember we will all stand before the judgement seat of Christ and give account of our lives, whether it be good or bad. Who or what motivates you? Examine yourself with the leading of the Holy Spirit and find out, and if there be anything contrary to sound doctrine, remove it, get rid of it out of your heart, with the Lord's help. Study to show yourself approved unto God a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth; because the truth is what will make you free and keep you free indeed (reality). Ask yourself this question: "Do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." If you find that you are pleasing men more than God then make the correction in your life and continue forward in your walk in Christ standing fast in the liberty with which he has made you free and don't be entangled again in that yoke of bondage or any other that may be hindering your walk, including the traditions and doctrines of men. And don't let the cares of this life, the deceitfulness of riches, or lusts of other things enter into your heart which will hinder you and choke the Word that is written in your heart, and it becomes unfruitful; watch and pray always, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Brethren, get highly motivated from above where Christ sits on the right hand of God our Father and put away pleasing man. God bless and keep the faith. Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Today's video Safe and Sound is on the topic of: This study is on the word ""sound"". Psalm 119:80 Let my heart be sound (complete, whole, entire, without spot, perfect, sincere, undefiled, upright) in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed (KJV). Proverbs 14:30 A sound (health, healing, cure, deliverance, wholesome, yielding, medicine) heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones (KJV). Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole (sound, healthy, well). This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation (deliverance, safety, health, rescue) in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (to save, deliver, protect, preserve, be (make) whole) (KJV). Safe and sound in faith, in heart, in mind, in speech, in doctrine, in wisdom and understanding. It is only in Christ Jesus that we are able to operate in sound wisdom (substance, understanding) - the wisdom that comes from above that is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be intreated (persuasion, compliant), full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy; and in complete soundness (entire, whole) - his name through faith in his name has made us strong, and by this faith we are able to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God before God our Father, without faith it is impossible to please him, and men; in a sound mind (discipline, self-control) - for God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind; in sound speech and doctrine (healthy, true (in doctrine), whole) - In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us; for the time will come when many will not endure sound doctrine, so let us hold fast the faithful word as we have been taught, that we may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers (those who speak against, or who dispute, refuse, contradict, deny), by speaking the truth in love. Salvation has given us a new life to live being led of the Spirit of Christ within us; it has given us a new heart, new ears, new eyes, a new tongue, a new language (that being the language of spirit and of truth John 4:23-24), and a new Shepherd, Jesus Christ, whose voice we follow and not a strangers; so old things are passed away behold all things are become new. It is only in the Spirit that we are able to come to know the language of God which speaks to the heart and hear the voice (sound) of our Shepherd leading us in safety, and of God our Father to understand his correction and instruction in righteousness to overcome the world and stand before the judgement seat of Christ in righteousness and true holiness. Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day... (KJV). Listen, do you hear his voice; the still small voice of instruction and comfort, or as a trumpet of warning or correction, speaking to your heart? Give heed to his voice dear brethren in Christ, for it is salvation. Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Today's video A Lasting Impression is on the topic of: Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time. The first (the old man, old nature) shall be last and the last (the new man, new creation) shall be first in the kingdom of God. The Lord left us an example of putting ourselves (our wants and desires) last and putting the kingdom of God and His righteousness and others first. We are to wash another's feet and not our own; in other words ministering unto others the glorious gospel of Christ, and not seeking to be ministered unto, but to lay down our lives for our brethren in the body of Christ; it is better to give than to receive; and when you give and it shall be given unto you more abundantly in the Spirit. When you put others first do it whole heartedly as unto the Lord, and not to be seen or be highly esteemed among men, for that which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. Have you found your place in the body of Christ, where God has placed you, and not men? God looks on the heart of men and not by the works that they do or the position they hold in a congregation. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8). The last place, or thing on our list may be the first that our Father has chosen for us, so remain humble and let Him exalt you in the place within the body of Christ as He sees fit. Wherever we are in the body of Christ, we are to live a life of humility as a servant of Christ, for the benefit of the kingdom of God, our brethren in Christ, and others who may believe through the word of God spoken unto them through us, whether in word or in deed, and always in truth, as our Lord Jesus Christ left us as an example. Owe no man anything but to love; and greater love is to lay down your life for the brethren. It is not about "I" anymore. Brethren, a lasting impression means to put others first; for this will be well pleasing in the sight of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed are the meek (humble) for they shall inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5). God bless and stay humble. Friday, October 29, 2010 Looking Within Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (KJV) In conclusion this week, we have spoken about where the kingdom of God cannot be found any longer, because the God that we serve is a Spirit, and only those that worship Him in Spirit and in truth will find Him. So if the kingdom of God is no longer found by an outward observance, then it will take a new insight to find Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9-11 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (11) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (KJV) We saw earlier in the week that God sent the Comforter to teach us the things of His realm. As we see again, Paul writes that the things of God cannot be seen or comprehended by our carnal sight, but rather it takes some insight to see within. This is where salvation gets personal folks, because your walk with the Lord is no longer based on hearsay, but rather on what the Lord is speaking and revealing to you personally. This is where many make or break with God; when they choose whether to let God be true and man the liar. 1 John 5:9-12 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. (10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (11) And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (12) He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV) You don’t need to listen to some loud mouth know it all preacher that makes it seem like without them you wouldn’t make it. You need to look within Church, because the greatest and most effective answer was right inside you all along. The truth is that if you are not getting your answer first hand from God’s right hand man then all that is left is hand me down second hand junk. God sent His Son so that we would have life, and have it more abundantly. Anything less than a confident, bold, loving relationship with our Father is a rip off, because instead of receiving the witness of God for yourself you let the enemy have more of an influence by getting you to fall for a carnal desire instead of a Spiritual one. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; (18) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (KJV) Do you really intend on making it to the finish line; you know where you receive a crown of eternal life and not eternal strife? We see once again clearly illustrated that the things of God are not seen by an outward observance, but rather will only be revealed by His Spirit. Remember, our Lord was quite specific in pointing out that only those that would endure to the end would be saved. Given the fact that we serve a God who cannot lie, it would be in your best interest to look within to find the path of life. Romans 8:24-25 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? (25) But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (KJV) Seeing is believing; the question is, whose eyes are you looking through, and from what perspective did you make your determination, by a Spiritual one or a limited contrary carnal one? Christ in you is your only hope for glory; and my prayer for all is that they would let Him have more of an influence on them than anyone or anything of this world. Look within Church, so that you are never left out. Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Thursday, October 28, 2010 Looking Within Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (KJV) No, no, no, crunching numbers in your head, trying to find peace by your bank account is not going to bring any real peace people! However, if you accessed the Spiritual treasure that you have available, you will find the peace of God that you were looking for in the first place. Hey let’s stop the insanity Church, because the reality is that looking outwardly for an answer is like a cat in a round barn who can never find a corner to pee in. Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (21) I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (KJV) You’re going to have to learn to die to old things, old desires, old ways of looking at things if you truly intend on keeping peace with God. A life that was totally dictated and based on outward things now needs to be solely based on the inward if you are truly going to experience a resurrection, where Christ rises and becomes alive and real to you personally. There is a new man within you waiting to take over, but only when you let Him. Hebrews 10:35-39 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. (36) For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. (37) For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. (38) Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (39) But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. (KJV) You know, the world that we live in today is one of a fast food drive through mentality. Get what you need on the run, and see if someday you can find peace. However, our Lord’s realm is just the opposite, where He says, stop what you are doing, give ear to my Word, and you will find what you were looking for all along. The just, or those that are justified by our Lord, are those that live by faith, what they hear personally from our Lord and not what the majority thinks. However, to stay on that path it takes some discipline and practice, making what you hear from our Lord a way of life and not just some weakly Sunday ritual. Oh and there is no withdrawing or falling back with our Lord, because when He asks us to do something by stepping out in faith, it means He made a way for it to be accomplished as well. 2 John 4:3-5 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (5) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. (KJV) You know, it’s quite obvious to those that have exercised their Spiritual senses to tell the difference between what is of God and what is based on the world and its fallen interpretations. The only way that you will be able to know for sure is when you realize that the greater influence is within you and not outwardly based on large numbers. Many of what man calls a church is nothing more than a cheap worldly knock off version of what our Lord intended for a church. So today, did you look within realizing that someone greater was knocking on the door of your heart seeking entrance, or were you out and about in a world full of heartache and misery chasing a mirage? Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Today we are posting Looking Within day three of five, written October 27, 2010. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 Looking Within Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (KJV) You ever see these so called men of God, who when they come to town advertise their ministries as one based on miracles, you know signs and wonders? Yet the reality is that our Lord said that we should be looking in the opposite direction if we are going to find Him. Is it any wonder that these people were described by our Lord as being the blind leading the blind into a ditch? Ephesians 3:16-19 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; (17) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, (18) May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; (19) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. (KJV) Did you come to the Lord seeking part of His kingdom? When in prayer are you seeking the total answer, or just bits and pieces, you know like a puzzle? I don’t know about many, but for me I would definitely like to be a partaker of the fullness of Christ, especially when the Word says that it is there for the taking. While the world and its worldly preachers are pointing the people to the riches of this fallen realm, our Lord died to get us access to the riches of His glory, riches that will never fail or have an end. Haven’t you had enough of a bunch of false promises of peace by a bunch of false prophets who in reality are only looking out for who they consider number one, themselves? There is so much more strength and power available to us once we truly get to know the love of Christ, which is based on His works and not on ours any longer. The truth is Church that our strength comes by weakness; the more we are willing to let go, the more it allows the Lord to take over and get the results that He intended for His people. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (KJV) You know, if you unplug the power cord to your lamp, well then its lights out and you are in darkness again. When the line of communication gets cut off between you and the Lord then you are no longer able to please Him, because you are now walking back into darkness, and no longer following that straight and narrow path that He would have you on. That simple Church, and yet that complicated or confusing to those that are blinded by their limited carnal vision. You know once you have received the Lord’s reward, you know like power, love, and a sound mind, you realize that this is a free gift that can’t be bought or found anywhere else but within. Colossians 1:26-28 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: (27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: (28) Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: (KJV) The kingdom of God is described as a mystery, something hidden in the past but now revealed. However, this mystery is only revealed to God’s people through the Spirit, which is why it is still a mystery to many because they are still looking outwardly instead of inwardly to find the answer. It was Christ in Jesus of Nazareth that was his only hope of glory, and look where He ended up. It is Christ in you that is your only hope of glory as well. Did you look within today and make hearing His word your top priority? Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Monday, October 25, 2010 Looking Within Luke 17:19-21 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. (20) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (KJV) A leper who was healed and made whole again returned to give thanks to our Lord, who at that time was manifest in the flesh. Now that our Lord has moved on, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, our search for truth needs to take place within, so that we can see the answer that our Lord has for us to be whole. A life in the past dictated by outward things is now done away in Christ, so that all things can become new. When you need an answer, when something is lacking and you need to be made whole, learning to look within is the only place that you will find the Lord’s response, an answer with some real substance. John 14:26-27 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (27) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (KJV) The reason that our Lord was manifest in the flesh was so that He could pay the price for our sin. Our Lord delivered a perfect sacrifice to our Father that He accepted once and for all, and then sent us a Comforter so that we could be comforted from within, and no longer have to live a life based on outward circumstances. The world and the so called peace it brings, is based on outward things that can never bring comfort because they change and fluctuate with the times. The peace of God is like God, it never changes nor is altered by any outward events. Are you experiencing this peace today, or are you troubled with cares and concerns of this world, things that our Lord said He would handle for us? Colossians 3:14-15 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. (15) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. (KJV) Many people claim that they are serving our Lord, yet their decisions are based on the outward and not an inward vision. Without a vision God’s own people perish, because they limit God by their own limited carnal minds. Are you letting the peace of God rule today, or are you settling for the path of least resistance? Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (7) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (KJV) Again, we are encouraged not to be careful, troubled, or anxious about outward things, but rather our attention is now focused on a new inward man that is coming to life and having a greater influence on us than anyone or anything in this fallen world. The peace of God passes our limited carnal understanding, and goes straight to the Head of the class. Are you going to the Head of the Church today, passing by any negative thoughts that would keep you in bondage? Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Friday, January 21, 2011 A New Desire Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (8) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (KJV) You know, it is nice to knock on a door and then have it opened, and to enter into a peaceable realm, or a house that is in order. For many though they are knocking on the wrong door with the wrong motives, then wonder why they are denied access to what is rightfully theirs for the taking. Knowing what door you are knocking on and what the code name is that will get you access will be rewarding to say the least. John 10:1-5 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. (2) But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. (3) To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. (4) And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. (5) And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. (KJV) Our Lord is referred to as a fore runner, the first born as well; one who ran this race toward the mark of the prize which is located above and not below here. Our Lord went before us and died so that we could have access to the realm above, no longer entrapped and in bondage to the things below. Have you answered your call today; seeking first the kingdom of God, or were you to busy following something foreign, a stranger who will not get you to your destination? John 10:6-9 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. (7) Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. (8) All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. (9) I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (KJV) You know, when you enter into the Lord’s realm or rest, it is then that you cease from your own works, and desire what He would have for you this day. All that ever comes before the Lord, any other thing or even person that you would put before our Lord on your priority list is robbery, and will not get you what our Lord desired for you to partake of this day. Mark 11:23-24 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (KJV) In this fallen realm that we are surrounded with many will make mountains out of mole hills, allowing a little leaven to get past their spiritual radar. In our Lord’s realm it is just the opposite; when you make our Lord a priority then what seemed like a big distraction and obstacle, is quickly cut down and removed. But this will only take place when you enter in through the door of our Lord and make Him your top priority. Revelation 3:19-21 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. (20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (KJV) In closing this week, we need to keep in mind that salvation and our prayer life are a two way street; our Lord responds to our requests and desires as we give ear to His. We all want that door in heaven opened, especially in a time of need. By keeping the door of your heart open to the Lord as well will allow you to be an over comer instead of an underachiever. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (KJV) Are you a ‘can do’ Christian? Well, only if you allowed a can did person access to your heart. God bless and continue to desire Spiritual things. Have a very blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Today we are posting A New Desire day four, written January 20, 2011. Thursday, January 20, 2011 A New Desire Psalms 37:4-6 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (5) Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (6) And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. (KJV) As you draw near to God, He in turn will draw near to you as well; making His kingdom as bright and apparent as a sunrise on a new day, and the results will be as clear as the light at noon. What are you really seeking after, and in hot pursuit of today; is it the things above, or are you settling for something inferior like the things below? The Lord made us spirit, soul, and body; so in order to be complete we will need to address all those areas. My prayer is that you put the Spiritual first, and not last which is why many don’t last. Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (8) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (KJV) With both of these words, ask and seek, you will find the term desire as well as crave in the definitions. When you asked the Lord to come into your life you began on a new path that would lead to eternal life. When you sought His word and made it a priority in your life, you then were able to see beyond the veil of the flesh, and come to an understanding of the mystery of the gospel that is hid to the carnal man but ready to be revealed to the Spiritual one. Then as you continue knocking, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge that are only found in Christ is opened unto you so that you can walk in His wisdom, no longer leaning to your own understanding. Colossians 1:9-11 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (10) That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; (11) Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; (KJV) Paul’s own prayer and desire for God’s people is that they would continue seeking the wisdom and spiritual understanding from above so that they could be strengthened from within. If you notice, there are a lot of things that are available for those that pursue Spiritual things, things that can’t be bought or found in this carnal ream. 2 Chronicles 15:1-4 And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: (2) And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. (3) Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. (4) But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. (KJV) The Bible is consistent throughout in the fact that with what measure we give to God is then measured back our way in return. You know, instead of waiting for a time of trouble to manifest in your life, many of these heartaches and frustrations can be avoided if you simply made the Lord your only desire. If you notice also, that trouble came a knocking once the people were no longer abiding in the truth of God, but rather were settling for a lie. 2 Chronicles 15:12-15 And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; (13) That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (14) And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. (15) And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about. (KJV) In the Old Testament it was a death sentence when they would not pursue the things of God, but rather desired things that were contrary. You will find in your walk too that if you start to desire something other than what our Lord intended for you to walk in, yeah that sunny day you started out with will become darkened with some storm clouds. Do take note also in verse 15, that the result of seeking the Lord was that there was some rejoicing taking place rather than doubt and frustration. So go seek the Lord and He will give you something to shout about today as well. Have a very blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Wednesday, January 19, 2011 A New Desire Psalms 37:4-5 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (5) Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (KJV) With a new heart will come a new desire; however, your new desire and way of life is totally contrary to the old one. It is our Father’s good pleasure to give us His kingdom; thus the reason why He sent us His Son to buy us back, and redeem us. Now you will notice that throughout your Bible there are terms and conditions for these desires to be fulfilled. Another way of looking at it is referring to your prayer life, not only knowing that your prayers are getting heard but getting some actual results and the response from above that you are looking for. You will also find that in order to get a response from above, you will need to respond accordingly as well. This is what will build your confidence and trust in the Lord, not only knowing that you can go to Him in time of need but that you will respond to His request as well. Yeah, believe it or not this salvation stuff is a two way street. 1 John 3:19-22 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. (20) For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. (21) Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. (22) And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (KJV) Ever hear of the term identity theft; you know where someone gets a hold of someone else’s credit card and uses their name to make withdrawals? Many Christians are like that, they come to our Lord in time of need making withdrawals from their spiritual accounts, however, only a few return to see what they can deposit to keep their account open. If you notice above, that if there is peace in your heart then you know that you are still on the right path that our Lord ordained for you to walk on, and you will have confidence as well. However, if your heart is being pricked a bit you have a choice to cease and desist from something unhealthy, or continue on a path that will lead you further from the truth. The word ‘ask’ means to desire or crave; so as long as we continue to ask things that are in line with what our Lord intended for us to seek after, then we will get His results. James 4:1-3 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? (2) Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. (3) Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. (KJV) When looking at verse one, I personally don’t see much peace there, rather a lot of turmoil and frustration is starting to set in and take over. As you can see, this is all a result of our desire; trying to fill a Spiritual need with a carnal one, just not happening. Oh, and the more you try to justify yourself the more this stuff just keeps spinning and spinning inside of you, stirring up the more muck and mire. I find that with many, when all you hear is them trashing others, playing the blame game, yeah they are just taking out their own faults and shortcomings on others rather than coming clean and dealing with the real source of their fall. James 4:4-6 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (5) Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? (6) But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. (KJV) You know, when you make a commitment to the Lord and then go back to the world and its way of thinking, yeah, that is when you open the door for a world of hurt. Some of these people that you are associating with, even those that say that they are Christians, ahhh, the reality is that they are just like the world, it’s just a different disguise that they are wearing. Your Bible is very clear on what evil communication does to someone who may have started out with good intentions. Yeah, if continued in it, it will corrupt your good morals that you started with in the beginning of your walk. 1 John 5:13-15 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (14) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (15) And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. (KJV) Hey, look what happens when we get our heart right with the Lord, and desire the things above instead of those below the standard that He intended for us. Instead of wars and frustrations, fear and doubt is replaced with words like knowing, believing, as well as some confidence being thrown in the mix for good measure. Do you desire results in your prayer life? Then seek those things above, and you will find them. Have a very blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
