Hidden in Plain Sight! Vol 26 No 7 The will of God! For the past seven years, Father and I have been having a conversation on things that are hidden in plain sight. A few weeks back we started a series titled “Love letters to the terminally ill”. If you will recall there in the first few verses of Paul’s letter to the Galatians, some people were able to see and hear Father’s counsel on His will in and for our everyday life. Galatians 1:3-4 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: KJV I am sure some were able to see what the will of God is for them, hidden within these two verses. We should be able to see and hear Father’s counsel for our everyday life as we journey through this world. To be able to see clearly here, one should give pause to recognize who we are for those who are believers. One cannot have blinders on when reading and studying God’s instruction manual for the believer and everyday life, for those who are able to hear and see His Word. This also shows one how much one has missed in the past because of religious tenets, rather than studying to show yourself approved unto God. Matthew 6:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. KJV How often has one read these verses and failed to hear and see again His counsel for our everyday life, as we journey through this world in this moment of time? Most fail to see and hear here the guidance being given for our communication with our Father. Note how it clearly states that His will be done, in earth (our earthen vessel) as it is in heaven. One must be mindful that at one point in time that there was a rebellion in the kingdom of God, and how He dealt with those who chose not to obey His will. Just as His will was enforced at that time, the same will be in force for those leaving this world. So then, how does one accomplish this journey through this life and stay in accordance with His will? Jesus Christ clearly spoke to us, that He is the way, that He is the truth (His Word is truth), and Christ in one’s life; this is what is essential for one to navigate the strait and narrow path which leads to His kingdom. John 14:6-7 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. KJV Note, that He is the way, He is the truth, and that NO man can come to the Father, but by Him. That relationship with the Father, is essential for one to maintain their now faith walk with Him. So, are you beginning to see and hear that which has been hidden in plain sight? That it can only be revealed or uncovered by and through Christ Jesus? One must understand what has been accomplished for us by the Son of man (Jesus of Nazareth) and the Son of God (Christ) to bring about reconciliation between God and man. All of this was accomplished at the cross with the death of Jesus of Nazareth, and the grave by Christ paying the price for our sins. Thus, we can then understand why it says clearly, that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. (Anything Father has given us forgiveness for, can only be brought to remembrance by the devil. And once we have asked forgiveness, our transgressions are removed as far as the east is from the west. (Psalms 103:12 and Isaiah 43:25)) 2Corinthians 5:17-18 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; KJV There are no shortcuts. There is no other name given. Jesus Christ has shown us the way, established by the truth of His Word, that will lead one to Father’s kingdom (eternal life). It is only by and through Christ Jesus that one is able to approach the throne of God. Just as Nicodemus came to Jesus Christ at night, acknowledging that He was indeed sent by God, by his observation of the works that He did do. One must remember that Nicodemus was well educated in the Old Testament and knew of the prophecies concerning the Messiah. John 3:2-7 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. KJV Jesus Christ then explains to Nicodemus what is necessary for one to gain entrance into the kingdom of God. Jesus Christ presents to him that which is required to gain entrance into the kingdom of God. Isn’t it interesting how Nicodemus does not challenge the new life in Christ, but rather questions as to how he might gain entrance into his mother’s womb a second time. Two births are required for one to gain entrance into the kingdom of God. One of the water that proceeds one coming out of the mother’s womb, and that which one is born again by the Spirit of Christ. No shortcuts. No secret societies. No religion or sect will get one entrance into Father’s house. It is only as one is born again by the Spirit of Christ, that they will be able to navigate their way to Father’s house. The answer for salvation is hidden in plain sight. Without being born again one cannot gain entrance into the kingdom of God. Are you confident in where you are headed? Are you able to see clearly the strait and narrow path that Jesus Christ has set for us to follow? As Amos 8:11; there is a famine of hearing the words of the Lord and many today are running to and fro to organizations seeking the Lord and are unable to hear Him because they began in the Spirit but are trying to perfect it by the flesh, by giving more ear to man's traditions and doctrines, instead of seeking God the Father with Spiritual ears to hear the Word of truth straight from His throne of grace given us in His Son Christ Jesus. Vol 26 No 6 Feeble Footing Feeble: lacking strength of character. We will take this newsletter away from “Love letters to the terminally ill” because a few weeks back, here in the USA, we celebrated Memorial Day. This day is set aside to remember and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and price, to ensure that each citizen would have the ability to live a life free from oppression, with the opportunity to fulfil their dreams in life. Here we are now, a few weeks after that holiday, and few now maintain any sort of national pride to remember daily the sacrifices that those individuals made for that freedom that they have every day of the year. Have they really become so deaf and blind as to what it took, and still takes, to maintain this freedom they take for granted? This year at about the same time, Christians have a day that they celebrate as Pentecost. It seems or appears that the religious people are not so much different than the carnal people who celebrated Memorial Day, because they too are quick to forget the freedom and liberty afforded them by and through Christ Jesus. For a day or two they will act all pious and holy, and then quickly fade into the background until their next “special” day. Romans 16:17-18 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. KJV How quickly one’s freedoms and liberties can be snatched away from them, or a society, if they are unaware of what these liberties and freedoms are, and the price demanded for them. As Paul alludes to the above in Romans; that by good words and fair speeches they are able to deceive the hearts of the simple or unexpecting. If one does not know the truth, how will they be able to fend off any lies or deceptions? If you are not 100% sure of the doctrine that you have been taught and learned, how shaky or unstable will the ground beneath your feet be? {Ephesians 6:15} In the gospels we are counseled, that our relationship with the Father should be by and through Christ Jesus, and that this relationship should be sought after and treasured as the pearl of great price. {Matthew 13:46} How the person discovered the worth and value of this obtained gift, gave his all to obtain and retain this great and precious gift. Mark 4:11-14 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? 14 The Sower soweth the word. KJV What one needs to keep in mind here, is that the Word clearly tells us that if one does not understand this parable of the Sower, how will understand, and comprehend the rest of the parables? Unto YOU, it is given to KNOW the mystery of the kingdom of God! Just as we discussed earlier, the freedom that we have here in the USA, that when it is taken for granted and no longer valued as the pearl of great price, how quickly can it be taken or snatched away? How quickly then can this freedom be lost or forfeited? Note also in the above scripture concerning the Sower, that if YOU do NOT understand this parable, how can you know all of the other parables that He gave? Philippians 3:17-19 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. KJV One must Know where they are going. It is a strait and narrow path into His kingdom, and few be there that find it. If one is not attentive to His Word all of the time, how easily can one stray from this path? Luke 17:1-2 Then said he unto the disciples, it is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! 2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. KJV By your words you are justified, or by your words you are condemned. Your words, do they speak the truth? Or do they present another version of the word? Vol 26 No 5 Love letters to the terminally ill! To have you hear, what you have not heard. (herd) Galatians 1:10-12 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. KJV What one must realize is that Paul’s insights into the Word was by revelation from Father. For the vast majority of people, when they hear the scriptures being quoted, they already have preconceived notions of what “they think” the scripture says, rather than waiting for Father to reveal the daily bread He has for the individual. All too often we get what is called “herd” mentality when we hear what others have had to say, but never study seeking Father’s approval, affirming that which He has for us. Just as at the start of this epistle, so many people read and hear that which has previously been taught, or opinions shared, of what others think it says, and thus they miss that fresh daily bread that Father has for them. I very often hear people say, “if I only knew God’s will for my life,” and yet never have the time to hear Father’s answer for their daily need. You need to recall verse four in this chapter, where Father’s will for the believer is clearly stated. As we note in the opening verses for today, how Paul states that he seeks to please the Father, and there are no other options for Paul, it was all about developing an ever-increasing fellowship with Father by and through the revelation of Christ Jesus. This could only come about by Paul listening to Father on how and why Christ Jesus accomplished reconciliation for all mankind, thus establishing a Father son relationship with him. One must recall that Paul was steeped in the traditions and rituals of the fathers of the Jewish faith, which many of these would lead one again to be indebted to the law, rather than grace. Thus, we can see the vital importance of having a continually growing insight into the revelation of the mystery of the gospel, Jesus Christ, and all that was truly accomplished at the cross and the grave, to make His grace and mercy available to any and all that might believe and come and follow Him. For many, they make the choice to follow the traditions and doctrines of men, rather than to seek the truth. This is what I call “herd” mentality, as it is easier to follow the religious crowd, rather than to pick up their cross and come and follow Him. One must keep fresh in their heart and mind, that Christ Jesus is the righteousness of God that is afforded to each and every believer (1Corinthians 1:30). In His wisdom one has the ability to seek Father’s wisdom into the revelation of Jesus Christ. To know the mystery of the gospel, so one is able to hear Father in every moment, in every instance, to know where their next step is to be directed (Psalms 37:23). This should be an everyday, every moment occurrence in our walk with Him. It is not by any earthly powers, nor by one’s own might, but rather revelation comes by His Spirit, who will lead us and guide us into all truth, if, one makes the decision to come and follow Him. (Zechariah 4:6) It is by His Spirit that one is able to have and maintain a personal relationship with the Father, by and through Christ Jesus. One must treasure this in their heart and mind, that no person shall come to the Father but by and through Christ Jesus. Paul penned this epistle to please the Father and not mankind. His hope and desire was for the Galatians to hear Father’s wisdom put forth, and what His Son accomplished for them, that they might again become the children of God. We have to maintain our fellowship with the Father by and through Christ Jesus while the adoption papers are being completed, so that your name may be recorded in the Lamb’s book of Life. Galatians 1:13-15 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: 14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, KJV We all have a past! We were all at one time separated from God. The outlook for eternity at that place and time did not look good for us. People often times try to grade sin, and then point fingers elsewhere to draw attention away from themselves. Paul is giving us a brief glimpse of what his life before Christ Jesus was like. Without the revelation of Jesus Christ in one’s life, one is wandering aimlessly in a vast area of desolation. How did Paul overcome all of this guilt and shame? There was no Old Testament sacrifice that could bring life and peace to his heart. It took the revelation of Jesus Christ for the scales to fall from Paul’s eyes, thus enabling him to begin to see the revelation of Jesus Christ more clearly. Just as most people today are tied to and are loyal to organizations and such, and follow them blindly, because they do not have a working knowledge of the truth of God and His Word. Note that Saul of Tarsus excelled above many his equal. Also note that Paul was exceedingly zealous in what he was doing to eliminate those whom he thought were a threat to his beliefs. He imprisoned or had killed those who were a threat to his beliefs. It was only as Paul came to the realization that he was in fact persecuting the true believers, and how it was accomplished, that Paul was able to find and accept the reconciliation afforded him by and through Christ Jesus. In a moment all of his transgressions and sins were forgiven, new life in Christ. As Paul says in one of his other epistles, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away, for all things become new. Now note in verse 15 above, one has to listen closely and attentively to what the Spirit is showing us, how Paul became separated from his mother’s womb. The fleshly ties of his earthly lineage had been broken, and his lineage now belonged to Father’s family. Old things had indeed passed away, and all things became new in Christ. One must keep in mind that Jesus Christ was the first born of many brethren. The first born from the dead. Thus, showing us the path that we too could follow. Note William Burkitt’s comments: The qualification necessary in a minister that reveals Jesus Christ unto his people, namely, that Christ must be revealed to him, and in him. We must learn Christ ourselves, before we pretend to preach him to others: To emphasize again, to realize here, that Paul was separated from the fleshly ties which brought him into this world, and now followed the example of Jesus Christ, who was and is the first-born of many brethren. What earthly ties are preventing you from having a deep and sincere relationship with the Father by and through Christ Jesus today?
