Good morning. Today's video Reconcile is on the topic of being reconciled to God by Jesus Christ that we might be counted worthy to partake of the marriage feast of the Lamb of God. 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (KJV) We are a living example, a ministry, of the reconciliation that happened in our own lives; that now in Christ we have peace and fellowship restored with God through his Son. Now the light of the glorious gospel of Christ shining in our hearts, giving forth the knowledge of God in the face of Jesus Christ, being ready to give an answer to every man who asks a reason of the hope that is within us. Salvation is a plan of eternal reconciliation. We have been cleansed with the washing of the Word being reconciled in preparation for the marriage feast of the Lamb and given a garment of righteousness. Now it is up to each of us to keep our garment unspotted from the world; that includes from our own righteousness, again, which is as a filthy rag. Now Christ is our righteousness and without him we cannot stand clean before God the Father nor partake of the marriage feast of the Lamb. 1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (KJV) Galatians 3:26-27 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (KJV) If we don’t come before the throne clothed in the righteousness of God, which is Christ, then we will not be considered one of his; and will be cast out into utter darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Which means that we will not be partaking of the marriage feast of the Lamb (read Revelation 19:7-9). 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (KJV) Read: Ephesians 5:23-32 (Illustrating Christ and the Church) Matthew 22:1-14 (The parable of the marriage feast) So dearly loved, where do you desire to be in the end? Will it be in clean white linen, the wedding garment, partaking of the marriage feast of the Lamb of God, or will it be in filthy rags because you allowed your clean garment that you were given at the reconciliation to become spotted by the world? 1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Psalms 93:1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. (KJV)
You have been invited to a wedding feast, a royal occasion taking place in the spiritual realm. This occasion requires a royal dress code, the same clothing the King is wearing and wore when He walked this earth as well. The fact that you wouldn’t attend a wedding occasion here on earth in old filthy rags; or showing up without any clothing would be improper as well. What is considered proper attire that our Lord will approve of? Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. (KJV) By putting on Jesus Christ it covers our old fallen nature and allows us to walk in the spirit, not fulfilling the lusts and desires of the old man. Like the term dressed to kill, the old man and its nature dies on a daily basis so that new creation in Christ within us will cover us with His righteousness. Galatians 3:26-27 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. (27) For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (KJV) For those of you that have ever watched a sporting event, the teams are identified by their uniforms, which identify them with a certain organization. Once you have been baptized, immersed into Christ, you are now identified with the family of God and follow the game plan that He put into effect for His winning team. You are given a spiritual uniform with the proper protection as well to keep you safe from injury and keep you in the game. Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (KJV) Football is a fitting example; if one was to try and play the game without properly suiting up it would not be long before they would be carried out on a stretcher in need of medical attention. The Lord has provided each and every believer with His spiritual armour to protect you so that you can continue your walk until you also can cross the goal line with our Lord and enter into His eternal celebration. 1Thessalonians 5:8-9 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. (9) For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, (KJV) The Lord’s game plan is a winning strategy, one that was obtained by Jesus Christ, and the same plan that should be the goal of every believer. Being properly dressed and following His design is what will allow us to obtain the same victory that He did so that we will be allowed access to the victory celebration. The wrath is for the losing team, the one that was not prepared and fit for the contest, the team that gets penalized for illegal procedure. Colossians 3:8-10 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. (9) Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; (10) And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: (KJV) In order to ready yourself for the contest, you need to be fitted for your new uniform. The first thing you will need to do is discard your old street clothing, or our old nature, and dress in our new team uniform fit for the Master’s use with the team logo written on it. Our new man is renewed in a winning game plan after our Team Leader that has already placed first for us. Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; (23) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; (24) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (KJV) You have been on a losing team for a long time and are now become a free agent in Christ, ready to sign on with Him. You get to begin your career all over without spot or blemish, without remembrance of all your losses and failures, a clean slate to start a new life in Christ, one with a proven winning record. Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (KJV) But watch out, because the devil tries to make illegal substitutions, disguising his workers with a similar uniform on the outside, but for those that know the game plan, can see right through it for the loser he really is. So don’t be fooled by those that try to sell themselves as members of the same team, because they are just trying to sneak in and disrupt the game plan, and steal the victory from those that are not alert. 2 Timothy 2:19-21 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (20) But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. (21) If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. (KJV) The Lord is making up His roster; the name of the team is Christ. He has many trying out for His team, but only few will actually participate, only few will be ready and of use to be put onto the field and carry out His game plan. Are you ready to go, are you suited up and available when He calls your name? The Lord is asking His people, ‘are you putting Me on?’ So are you putting on a false front, trying to sneak across the goal line, or will you follow His plan of success with His spiritual blockers making a path across the goal line for you? God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. A couple of years ago a British royal wedding took place. If you watched any of the news or entertainment programs there was a flurry of activity, not only for the preparation of the wedding but many were a buzz and twitter pated by this wedding as well for months leading up to this one day. But only a chosen few were invited to the wedding while everyone else stood without. And when it was all over, the party was finished and what were many left with? Possibly a brief feeling of excitement, maybe sadness because it was over and they have to return to their normal lives, or maybe there are those who went in
debt to this world just for a taste of a morsel of worldly pleasure; and how long do you think they will be paying and be in bondage to it? Was it worth it, did they get what they needed? Pleasure for a season does not last forever; it is exciting for the moment but afterward it is the same life just a different moment or day. Reality sets in for everyone. So, how many do you suppose are preparing and abuzz about the Royal wedding to come which is above, when Christ presents His bride, the Church, to His Father? Many have been called to this wedding, but in the end only one will be the bride, the Church, the few who endure unto the end looking for a new heaven and new earth; a kingdom which is not of this world. Remember the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-2)? You need to be continually preparing, awake and alert, ready when the Bridegroom calls. You need the oil (Holy Spirit) and the lamp (Psalm 119:105) to see the way to the Royal wedding. You can’t have one without the other. They work together to give you light to find your way through the dark and dreary land to the gate in which the righteous shall enter. The Lord went and prepared a place for all; but it is up to each of us who have been invited whether or not we accept the invitation that was sent to us and show up for the wedding. And by the way, when the time comes we had better have on the robe of His righteousness if we desire to remain at the wedding; because anyone who tries to enter in who is not dressed properly will be cast out into utter darkness. Read Matthew 22:1-14. Dearly loved, are you preparing, twitter pated with the Lord and your wedding with Him to come? My prayer is that you are continuing in preparation for the Royal wedding so that you are counted worthy, dressed in white raiment (the wedding garment), ready to be presented holy and blameless, and a virgin of the Lord unspotted by this world, accepted of the Beloved. God bless, and prepare ye for the Royal wedding that is to come from above. |
