Matthew 4:3-4 And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (KJV)
Another term that is singular is ‘the Word of God’. Now even though the Bible itself is filled with some 800 thousand words, the question becomes, which one is fitting today for you, right now? Our Lord knew the scriptures well; however, it took hearing what was proceeding from the mouth of God at that moment for Him to be delivered from the wiles of the enemy. 1Thesselonians 2:13-14 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe. 14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: (KJV) An effective teacher of the Word will be able to speak words of life that are appropriate for the situation as well as the people. They will realize that this Word came right from God and penetrated the heart of those that came to hear what God had to say rather than man. You will find the Word of God to be effective in your walk when you trust more in what you are hearing first hand from above and less in what man thinks they are hearing. Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (KJV) Hey how about this, the Word of God is actually a person, a living Word seated at the right hand of the Father. This person can see right through the facades that we try to put up, so we are exposed just like Adam was in the beginning when he tried to cover his sin. John 14:6-7 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. (KJV) You better get to know the Word by heart; otherwise you won’t make it home to your eternal destination. The Word is alive and well and ready to lead you to the Promised Land, but only if you are willing and obedient. Revelation 19:11-13 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. (KJV) Christ is getting ready to let planet earth know there is going to be a new sheriff in town. Why not put yourself under a rest today and cease from your own works and find a way that works much more effectively instead? 2 Corinthians 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. (KJV) We see what happened to the many that were called, but in the end only a few are chosen. I would be willing to say that they didn’t narrow their search down to the one, Christ. We know that corruption cannot inherit incorruption, so those that are in that category are described as antichrist. In conclusion Church, though we see things that appear to be plural, the reality is that Christ is still the ‘One’ source for our deliverance. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 2 Corinthians 12:1-3 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) such a one caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) (KJV)
Strong’s definition for Revelations - 602 apokalupsis (ap-ok-al'-oop-sis); From 601; disclosure: KJV-- appearing, coming, lighten, manifestation, is revealed, revelation. We see the word ‘revelations’ used above, but what you will find is that these revelations are a result of one revelation, that being the revelation of Christ. In fact we see above that Christ was definitely a part of these visions that Paul realized were coming from above. Galatians 1:11-12 But I certify you, brethren that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (KJV) You will start seeing things much clearer when your spiritual windshield is cleaned off with some living waters and you will see things the way our Lord intended for you to see them based on the revelation of Jesus Christ. In fact Paul knew that the Gospel he was preaching was a result of this revelation. 1 Peter 1:13-14 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: (KJV) Our past life before our conversion in Christ was one of ignorance because we were blinded by a spiritual veil that covered our heart. Once we received the revelation of Christ the sword of the Spirit rent this veil so that we could see beyond the limitations of the flesh to know who we are in Christ. Ephesians 1:17-20 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what the hope of his calling is, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, (KJV) The revelation of Christ is an eye opening experience, because it allows you to see into the realm where He is now operating and where He also expects His church to be operating. You have access to great power that exceeds anything here on earth, so why not take a look into this realm and start experiencing it firsthand for yourself? Luke 2:25-27 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, (KJV) While many today still go to temples seeing only a man named Jesus, those that are led by the Spirit will see another man within who is Christ the Son of the living God. Remember Church that only those that are led by this Spirit are truly considered to be the Sons of God. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord dearly loved. 1 Corinthians 13:1-2 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. (KJV)
Strong’s definition for Mysteries - 3466 musterion (moos-tay'-ree-on); From a derivative of muo (to shut the mouth); a secret or "mystery" (through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites): KJV-- mystery. We see the term mysteries used which although it appears to be in the plural sense, is actually a derivative of a singular source. Even though this term appears numerous times in the New Testament it is actually a result of one mystery that every Christian needs to know for themselves by heart. Romans 16:25-26 Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: (KJV) What you will find consistently throughout the New Testament is that when you see the terms mystery and revealed mentioned, you will see it involves Christ. Ephesians 3:3-5 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (KJV) Christ is the unseen Son of the living God who was within Jesus of Nazareth, which is the part that is mysterious to many. People could easily identify Jesus of Nazareth and tell you all about his carnal lineage, but that same carnal veil that was covering the Spirit of Christ back then is the same veil that is upon the heart of those that haven’t had the Son revealed to them personally. Colossians 2:2-4 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. (KJV) Man today keeps pointing the people to the outward man after the flesh not realizing that the mystery was the inward man, hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards that a man is found faithful. (KJV) So even though we see the term mysteries being mentioned it is all a result of one revelation, the mystery of Christ, something we are required to put our faith and trust in, the inward man. Mark 4:11-13 And he said unto them, unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? And how then will ye know all parables? (KJV) The reality is that someday when standing before God He is not going to ask you what you think, but what do you know. Unless one is able to give the answer to the mystery of the kingdom, they will have an eternity to ponder why they were not able to give the correct response especially when it was a free gift given for them to know. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 14:1-3 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 2 For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not unto men, but unto God: for no man understands him; howbeit in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he that prophesies speaks unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. (KJV)
Here is another term that gets a bit misconstrued, gifts, plural. Actually the word ‘gifts’ in verse 1 is an added word, because any gift of God is a result of the one gift which He sent to mankind. Some people speak great swelling words to try to impress others, an unknown tongue to God because it is not edifying to the Church. Those that truly know the love of God and His gift are looking to speak words of life. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. (KJV) Strong’s definition for Gifts - 5486 charisma (khar'-is-mah); From 5483; a (divine) gratuity, i.e. deliverance (from danger or passion); (specifically) a spiritual) endowment, i.e. (subjectively) religious qualification, or (objectively) miraculous faculty: KJV-- (free) gift. As we see this word ‘gifts’ is actually derived from the term gift, and as we are about to find out this gift is singular. Some claim to have certain gifts of the Spirit and have chosen to limit God thinking they don’t have access to the entire gift. Verse 7 above is quite clear to point out that the manifestation of everything spoken about in this chapter is Spiritual and is given to all, now the question is who is willing to receive it all? John 4:9-10 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, how is it that thou, being a Jew, asks drink of me, which is a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knew the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou would have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. (KJV) The gift of God is now seated at the right hand of our Father. God’s gift to mankind is not some hot shot preacher, but His Son who died to give you access to all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Are you going to His well to get a drink that will last forever? Romans 5:15-18 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man's offence death reined by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. (KJV) God is clear to point out who and what this gift is that was given to mankind. We see this is a free gift that God provided so that we could have life, an abundant spiritual life instead of the dead-end carnal one which we had settled for in the past. For those that put a price on this gift are nothing more than hucksters who have sold out for an inferior gift instead. So take hold of what was freely given to you by walking past all the cheap imitations that think they can serve God and mammon. God bless dearly loved and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 14:9-11 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? For ye shall speak into the air. 10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaks a barbarian, and he that speaks shall be a barbarian unto me. (KJV)
It was brought to my attention that some words and phrases mentioned in the plural actually have a singular meaning or source. This week we are going to look at some examples so that we can narrow our search down to one. If you have ever watched a movie where someone encounters people of another culture or language, without an interpreter it can be barbaric. People who claim to know God but speak in a tongue that is not of His Spirit are considered barbaric to our Lord and not someone He knows personally. Genesis 3:8-10 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. (KJV) We see the end result of those that are listening to the voice of another. Adam realized his nakedness took place within and then manifested on the outside which caused him to be separated from God. If you are afraid today you need to realize that this spirit is not of God and you have given ear to a barbarian. You will discover that you can’t hide from yourself, especially when that still small voice of God is pricking your heart. Psalm 28:1-2 Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. 2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. (KJV) Sometimes in a relationship if one person is not in agreement with the other they will go silent. Haven’t we all cried out to the Lord in a time of need hoping that the Lord heard our voice and is responding? The Bible says that with what measure we give to our Lord is what is given back in return; in other words, are you responding to His voice with the same diligence? Psalms 55:1-4 Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication. 2 Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise; 3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me. 4 My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me. (KJV) They say there are no atheists in foxholes. Why not give ear to that ‘One’ voice that delivers us from all our destructions and respond to His voice with the same urgency that you desire of Him? John 5:25-28 Verily, verily, I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. 26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, (KJV) Many of us were in a grave situation before we turned our attention above and heard the ‘One’ voice that brings life. My prayer for you is that you won’t wander out in the wilderness, surrounded by a bunch of spiritual barbarians. Dearly loved, give heed to the One above; God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. John 4:23-26 But the hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. (KJV)
It’s time to rethink the term worship. Much of what I see being described as worship today is nothing more than a Sunday morning outward show, instead of what it was really meant to be; a new life in Christ. If you desire to stay with our Lord you need to stay on His turf, and renew your mind daily in order to stay there. Take notice that the truth will always involve Christ, the Son of the living God. Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (KJV) We are made up of three parts: spirit, soul, and body; if any one of these is not in order the house will fall. The Lord desires for His people to keep renewing the spirit of their mind so that they can worship Him in Spirit, which is far greater than the old man and its way of thinking. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (KJV) A constant and consistent renewing of the mind is like shoveling more dirt on the old man so that you can keep him buried with all your other dead works. Salvation is a constant change where you learn to rely more on the inward man by letting the truth subdue the old one. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (KJV) There are a lot of foolish doctrines being peddled as the truth by people who have limited our Lord to their carnal thinking. You are able to discern or judge things, not by the outward appearance any longer, rather you are able to see it through the eyes and understanding of our Lord, from His spiritual vantage point. You have the mind of Christ, now go, act and respond like you are really one of His people and stay put in the one realm that He operates in. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (KJV)
One and done folks; not because I say so, but because our Lord is very specific in what realm He operates in, and the one area you need to be in if you are going to do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 1 Timothy 2:4-6 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (KJV) You will notice consistently throughout the scriptures that the terms truth, faith, way, or even our Lord’s name is always mentioned in the singular, or one column. There have been so many names that are thrown around this earth, many of which did not come from the throne, at least not from the one above. Church, if the name doesn’t involve Christ then it is incomplete and missing the most important component which will get you to the one God who is above all. 1 Corinthians 8:5-7 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. (KJV) If you don’t take a stand in Christ you will end up falling for anything that is not of God. As we see summed up clearly in verse 7, those that don’t have this knowledge have strayed outside that one realm of our Lord and have become weak; their spiritual house is divided and getting ready to fall. Luke 16:11-14 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. (KJV) Today we have many Pharisees who only see dollar signs, and instead of teaching the people the true riches of the kingdom of God, many are preaching a doctrine that reveals the area they have fallen for and sold out to, that being the love of money. The true doctrine of Christ will point you above and not below the standard that our Lord would have you operate in today. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Mark 3:24-26 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. (KJV)
Divide and conquer is a term used when opposing factions go to war. If the opposition can get their opponent to doubt or fear then they have gotten a foothold and the opponent will eventually fall. When a Christian goes outside of our Lord’s realm they open themselves up to a lot of things, none of which is good. Notice that the devil and his angels work together as one, and for those that have the eyes of their understanding enlightened they can see the influence he has in this world; and yes it’s sad to say, but even in the so called church. Now if the enemy can work in unison and cause so much confusion, what do you think would happen if the Christians would follow suit (work in unison), worshipping and teaching sound doctrine in Spirit and in truth; what an influence that could have! Hosea 10:1-2 Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images. 2 Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images. (KJV) If you have ever gone through the Old Testament you will find that the downfall of God’s chosen people involved intermingling with those of this world. You will find that they were warned ahead of time not to do this because it would have a negative effect on them, leading to their downfall which is clearly illustrated throughout the Old Testament. You will find the same thing happening in your walk if you don’t keep the mind renewed daily in the one realm that is eternal. Doing this will keep the temporal things of this world from having such an influence on you and your decisions. 2 Corinthians 5:6-9 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. (KJV) So today the question begs to be asked, are you truly walking by faith or are you being misled by your outward sight? Without faith (not just the hearing, but the actual part where you step out in faith) it is impossible to please God, and remain in the one place He would have you to abide in today. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (KJV)
Have you ever had someone ask you what you think? Many will tell you what they think even when not asked; in fact I know I have given my point of view to many in the past when they were not really interested in what I thought because of the way I was living. Jesus Christ thought it was not robbery to be equal with God, which simply means to be in agreement with Him; and you should think it robbery if you are not equal today, or in agreement with what our Father has promised to those that believe. John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish; neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and my Father are one. (KJV) Remember, the same guy said He was the way, the truth and the life and no man can obtain eternal life except through Him. Well, we see the promise we have available when we stay on that one path, by the one Lord, who says specifically there is only one truth that sets us free. All of it is meaningless if you don’t take the time to find out who you are in Christ and renew the mind daily so that you can stay put in His realm. Verse 30 is a motto our Lord claimed and knew for Himself as truth. Do you know today that you and the Father are one, being in agreement? If not, it’s nothing short of robbery. Romans 15:4-6 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV) Our Lord wasn’t a double talker who said one thing and did another; otherwise He wouldn’t have been of much use to God. Neither will you if you don’t keep the mind renewed daily so that you can glorify our Father in heaven by receiving all that His Son died to give us access to. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (KJV)
Who is really number one in your life? As child of God, and a believer in Christ we see it should be narrowed down to the one who won back our lives for us while we were sitting on death row waiting for our sentence to be carried out. Psalm 12:1-4 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceases; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. 2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. 3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaks proud things: 4 Who have said, with our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? (KJV) Simply put, anything outside the realm of one will put you in the category of number 2. Unless one makes our Lord their one and only priority in life it opens the door back up to a lot of things, none of which is what our Lord intended for you. Out of the abundance of the heart your mouth will speak depending on what is deposited in your spiritual bank. So make sure you keep your account open with daily deposits or you will end up with a NSF notice, non sufficient faith. James 1:5-8 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraided not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavered is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (KJV) When I see the term double added to the equation, I see that it rhymes with trouble, both of which seem to go hand in hand. Romans 3:3-4 For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. (KJV) There is only one realm where you will truly be considered an over comer; did you seek the kingdom of God first and stay put, or did you go sailing on the dead sea with high wind warnings of false doctrines predicted, doubling the odds that your ship wouldn’t stay afloat? God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
