Genesis 1:11-12 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. (12) And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. (KJV)
Have you ever sat around and heard stories, versions of things that took place or those that claim they took place and how sensationalized they would become the more the tales were told. Whether it’s a fisherman, hunter, or even truck drivers they either caught the biggest fish, or made the most impractical shot, or drove their rigs through the most impossible situations; tales that are told to impress others without much regard for truth. Hey let’s face it, we all have told our own versions of things and added our own interpretations to make ourselves look and sound better than what really took place. Sometimes this mindset continues into the realm of the Church or what man claims to be the church, and the truth gets stretched, fabricated and told in a way to impress or to get the attention of others with little regard to truth. The verses in Genesis above are specific in the fact that what God created and how it continues to grow results from the seed; and only a certain seed will produce a certain offspring. To say something grows from a different seed is a fabrication and contrary to the word of God and is quite an exaggeration to say the least. Genesis 6:4-5 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (5) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (KJV) Ever hear the one about fallen angels and women procreating and then there were giants? Talk about a knee slapper. That is as bad as any fishing story I have ever heard; talk about a whopper of a tale. How this tale continues to grow and spread! So many are taken in by this sensationalized version of something that sounds more like the X-Files than anything that is Biblical. Fallen angels are no longer considered the sons of God. Once they are expelled they are no longer a part of the heavenly family. Only those that belong to His family are able to partake of His name and inheritance. Before you choose to spread this any further it may do you good to take the time to see what this really refers to concerning giants. Strong’s definition for giant: 5303 nephiyl (nef-eel'); or nephil (nef-eel'); from 5307; properly, a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant: KJV-- giant. As you can see from the definition, a giant is nothing more than a bully or tyrant, and not some offspring of the devil and women. Today we have the same issue within the Church realm also. Godly people marry the wrong person for the wrong reason and end up with a giant problem. Today we still have many bullies and tyrants. We see them in the pulpits, those who preach fire and brimstone and demand that the congregation live a rigid Biblical lifestyle which most of them are not willing to live by themselves. We see it in the workplace also, the hearts of many have waxed colder and colder; the love of God is drowned out by bottom lines and corporate stockholders rather than what’s fair and just for the employees. Our elected officials rule by force. Those that were elected to serve the people are in reality only serving their own special interests and desires. 1 Corinthians 15:38-40 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. (39) All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. (40) There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. (KJV) Paul also wrote of seeds and that only a certain seed can produce a certain result or offspring. You don’t see fish and birds cross breeding and producing a half and half offspring. Man and animals don’t cross breed either, although man keeps trying to act like them. So how did this simple truth get so stretched and farfetched? I see absolutely no where in the word of God where fallen angels developed gender between heaven and earth. Yet to this day, this doctrine has spread and is preached whole heartedly as truth and not for the fabrication that it really is. Matthew 7:15-18 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (16) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. (KJV) Again we see how simple and obvious the word of God is concerning the seed and what it produces, and how one seed cannot produce a different crop or harvest. Do you want to hear a tall tale? Then go get a tabloid magazine. But if you choose to be speaking on behalf of the Lord and are sharing His precious word of life, be much quicker to hear and slower to speak, especially when it comes to second hand fabricated versions of the word of God. Matthew 22:24-30 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. (25) Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: (26) Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. (27) And last of all the woman died also. (28) Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. (29) Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. (30) For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. (KJV) Mankind has been trying to equate the physical into the spiritual realm, and continues to miss the mark because of their lower carnal thinking. If angels are not given in marriage in heaven, then how could the fallen angels be when they supposedly landed here on planet earth? By not taking the time in the word of God and rightly dividing it, instead of standing on a rock solid foundation, you will end up falling for any tall tale man comes up with, and believing any gigantic fabrication of simple truth. Don’t be bullied around with a bunch of nonsense and sensationalized doctrines which produces more questions than answers; which by the way someday those that spread this stuff will have to answer for it. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Hebrews 9:11-14 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (KJV)
Christ is our High Priest who doesn’t have to go back year after year to offer up sacrifices for the sins of the people; He did it right once and for all. Now it is up to you to go to God through Him to find out what God has planned for your life. Romans 8:32-34 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. (KJV) The enemy of our Lord today has a new name, because it is this new name from above that he is trying to keep the Church from accessing. The enemy is now described as antichrist; because he is doing all he can to keep the Church from knowing who the Father is by the revelation of His Son, Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament without the High Priest making atonement for their sins they would have died in them. Today many are dying in sin because they have allowed the enemy to blind them from the truth of who their high priest and intercessor truly is. Ephesians 2:13-15 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (KJV) Our Lord knocked down the middle wall of partition that kept us on the outside and we are able to get inside information straight from the throne of God. When you allow the Spirit of Christ to bear witness to your spirit, then you are one new creation in Christ which is why you can experience the peace of God for yourself. 1 Timothy 2:4-6 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (KJV) So no matter how many different people God has used in the past, no matter how many high priests have come and gone, you now have access to God by the Highest one ever, Christ Jesus. With all that God has provided for His people through His Son, there is no longer any reason you should be on the outside looking in any more. Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: (KJV) God bless dearly loved and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Hebrews 3:1-3 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath built the house hath more honor than the house. (KJV)
Remember the author (who I believe was Paul the apostle) is speaking to the Jews and trying to convince them that there is a better way. He was addressing people who thought very highly of Moses and had a hard time believing this man Jesus Christ was the Son of God. John 1:15-17 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, this was he of whom I spoke, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. (KJV) Today, just like in the time of our Lord, people are still more apt to hold to rituals instead of grabbing hold of grace and truth. Religious people still think their works have something to do with salvation instead of the work of grace our Lord desires to see His people operate in. John 9:26-29 Then said they to him again, what did he to thee? How opened he thine eyes? 27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? Will ye also be his disciples? 28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples. 29 We know that God spoke unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. (KJV) Talk about an eye opening experience; our Lord had just opened the eyes of a blind man from birth, and instead of celebrating this miracle the people were trying to find fault with our Lord. Today we have many who are blind to the truth because they are more apt to hold onto something old rather than being open to something new from the Lord. Hebrews 3:4-6 For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God. 5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (KJV) So the things that are being spoken about that are after Moses and the old law are outdated, and now come from God through His Son Jesus Christ. It’s time mankind jumps off the sinking ships of Old Testament religious doctrines that have too many holes in them and get on board a ship that will take you home. Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (KJV) That man that is highly exalted is our personal High Priest that you need to get familiar with if you are going to grow and mature in your walk. Every tongue should be confessing Jesus Christ as their Lord or they cannot bring glory to the Father. God bless dearly loved and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Hebrews 8:1-3 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such a high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man has somewhat also to offer. (KJV)
One of the themes of the book of Hebrews is to point out the new covenant that we are in now compared with the old one which is no longer in play. Once upon a time we had carnal priests who were ordained for carnal ordinances which could never take away sin, but instead would only cover it up like a deodorant. Hebrews 8:4-6 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: 5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount. 6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. (KJV) Once our Lord offered up a perfect sacrifice which was accepted by God, it provided mankind with a much better and simpler covenant established upon much better promises. Our Lord has made His plan of salvation evident to His church which is why, in Christ, there are no gray areas or shadow of turning when looking at His promises. The confusion comes in when man gets a hold of things and tries to add works back into the mix. Hebrews 8:7-9 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. (KJV) You certainly wouldn’t want to go back to the way things used to be would you, building alters and stoning people when they sinned? So why does the Church today put so much merit on their works instead of learning to walk by faith and believe that our Lord has already done a completed work on our behalf? God sent the perfect solution for the perfect sacrifice, and He is seated on the right hand of God making intercession for His people; what could possibly go wrong? Hebrews 8:10-13 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13 In that he saith, a new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayed and waxes old is ready to vanish away. (KJV) When you are in Christ you are a new creation because old things are passed away and all things have become new. Your relationship with the Father is through His Son and not man. (KJV)
With direct access to the throne of God it makes no sense why so many still go to man for an answer to salvation instead of going straight to the source. You don’t have to spend the rest of your life here guessing; salvation is a plan that eliminates all fear which is what was dogging us before our conversion in Christ. Mark 4:10-13 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? And how then will ye know all parables? (KJV) Do you desire to know and not just guess how to interpret the Word? Well, why not do what the disciples did and go straight to the source. The Lord wants His people to know and not be in the dark concerning the mystery of the gospel and how to access God anytime, anywhere. Hebrews 7:26-28 For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27 Who needed not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28 For the law makes men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, makes the Son, who is consecrated for evermore. (KJV) Our Lord understands what we as humans are going through, that’s why he became one of us so that He wouldn’t ask us to do anything He wasn’t willing to do himself. That’s why God sent His Son to do a completed work so that we don’t have to rely on our works anymore; instead we can take comfort in the completed work our Lord did on our behalf. Hebrews 2:14-18 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17 Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted. (KJV) Church it’s like having a personal trainer, someone who has run the course and is now seated at the right hand of the Father ready, willing, and more than able to show you how to be more than a conqueror in Christ. Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God; let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (KJV) Make it a priority to go before that throne of grace daily and find out what God has personally for you. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Leviticus 16:32-34 And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments: 33 And he shall make atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation. 34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses. (KJV)
Back in the day our Lord assigned priests to attend to the earthly sanctuary and to bring sacrifices and offerings for the sins of the congregation once a year. Today for some odd reason we still have organizations with people who call themselves priests and like on Halloween dress up in costumes of make believe people, and just like with Halloween they represent dead things. As we go along this week we will point out who God has appointed as the High Priest once and for all so that we don’t have to wait a year to go before the throne of God. Hebrews 9:6-8 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. 7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: 8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: (KJV) Remember, our Lord said that He was the way, the truth, and the life, and that no man could go unto the Father but by Him. Now that the way has been made for us, why would anyone want to settle for less? Why are so many people still caught up in dead works and rituals which have nothing to do with salvation and actually draw one farther away instead of closer to our Father? Hebrews 9:9-11 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers’ washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; (KJV) Now that we are and have been in a time of reformation for at least two thousand years or so, why are so many today still wasting time with carnal ordinances that have nothing to do with salvation? It seems like the minute someone decides to dedicate their lives to the Lord a bunch of so called Christians come along and tell them they need to get slam dunked in water. Really, what’s next, offering up animal sacrifices, or how about bringing circumcision back into play? Whoops, where is everyone going? Hebrews 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; (KJV) That word figure refers to a parable; a comparison, where you take what happened in the outward realm and discern what is now taking place in the spiritual one; something that the Church is lacking in, spiritual discernment. God bless dearly loved and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
