Friday, October 29, 2010 Looking Within Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (KJV) In conclusion this week, we have spoken about where the kingdom of God cannot be found any longer, because the God that we serve is a Spirit, and only those that worship Him in Spirit and in truth will find Him. So if the kingdom of God is no longer found by an outward observance, then it will take a new insight to find Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9-11 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (11) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (KJV) We saw earlier in the week that God sent the Comforter to teach us the things of His realm. As we see again, Paul writes that the things of God cannot be seen or comprehended by our carnal sight, but rather it takes some insight to see within. This is where salvation gets personal folks, because your walk with the Lord is no longer based on hearsay, but rather on what the Lord is speaking and revealing to you personally. This is where many make or break with God; when they choose whether to let God be true and man the liar. 1 John 5:9-12 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. (10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (11) And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (12) He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV) You don’t need to listen to some loud mouth know it all preacher that makes it seem like without them you wouldn’t make it. You need to look within Church, because the greatest and most effective answer was right inside you all along. The truth is that if you are not getting your answer first hand from God’s right hand man then all that is left is hand me down second hand junk. God sent His Son so that we would have life, and have it more abundantly. Anything less than a confident, bold, loving relationship with our Father is a rip off, because instead of receiving the witness of God for yourself you let the enemy have more of an influence by getting you to fall for a carnal desire instead of a Spiritual one. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; (18) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (KJV) Do you really intend on making it to the finish line; you know where you receive a crown of eternal life and not eternal strife? We see once again clearly illustrated that the things of God are not seen by an outward observance, but rather will only be revealed by His Spirit. Remember, our Lord was quite specific in pointing out that only those that would endure to the end would be saved. Given the fact that we serve a God who cannot lie, it would be in your best interest to look within to find the path of life. Romans 8:24-25 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? (25) But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (KJV) Seeing is believing; the question is, whose eyes are you looking through, and from what perspective did you make your determination, by a Spiritual one or a limited contrary carnal one? Christ in you is your only hope for glory; and my prayer for all is that they would let Him have more of an influence on them than anyone or anything of this world. Look within Church, so that you are never left out. Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Thursday, October 28, 2010 Looking Within Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (KJV) No, no, no, crunching numbers in your head, trying to find peace by your bank account is not going to bring any real peace people! However, if you accessed the Spiritual treasure that you have available, you will find the peace of God that you were looking for in the first place. Hey let’s stop the insanity Church, because the reality is that looking outwardly for an answer is like a cat in a round barn who can never find a corner to pee in. Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (21) I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (KJV) You’re going to have to learn to die to old things, old desires, old ways of looking at things if you truly intend on keeping peace with God. A life that was totally dictated and based on outward things now needs to be solely based on the inward if you are truly going to experience a resurrection, where Christ rises and becomes alive and real to you personally. There is a new man within you waiting to take over, but only when you let Him. Hebrews 10:35-39 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. (36) For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. (37) For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. (38) Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (39) But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. (KJV) You know, the world that we live in today is one of a fast food drive through mentality. Get what you need on the run, and see if someday you can find peace. However, our Lord’s realm is just the opposite, where He says, stop what you are doing, give ear to my Word, and you will find what you were looking for all along. The just, or those that are justified by our Lord, are those that live by faith, what they hear personally from our Lord and not what the majority thinks. However, to stay on that path it takes some discipline and practice, making what you hear from our Lord a way of life and not just some weakly Sunday ritual. Oh and there is no withdrawing or falling back with our Lord, because when He asks us to do something by stepping out in faith, it means He made a way for it to be accomplished as well. 2 John 4:3-5 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (5) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. (KJV) You know, it’s quite obvious to those that have exercised their Spiritual senses to tell the difference between what is of God and what is based on the world and its fallen interpretations. The only way that you will be able to know for sure is when you realize that the greater influence is within you and not outwardly based on large numbers. Many of what man calls a church is nothing more than a cheap worldly knock off version of what our Lord intended for a church. So today, did you look within realizing that someone greater was knocking on the door of your heart seeking entrance, or were you out and about in a world full of heartache and misery chasing a mirage? Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Today we are posting Looking Within day two of five, written October 26, 2010. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 Looking Within Luke 17:19-21 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. (20) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (KJV) No matter how many times that you look to the outward for a peaceable solution you will never find the answer in that realm that will make you whole. Today many of God’s people are being misled by many false prophets that our Lord warned us about ahead of time. Many today are being led by their carnal senses which in reality really makes no sense because our Lord will not be found in that realm. Being born again means you start all over again, this time letting the Spirit lead and guide you into all truth. You’re new found Spiritual senses are the only ones that you should be relying on if you truly plan on inheriting eternal life. Anything or anyone other than the Spirit of God will not get you to the place that you need to be at today. Romans 7:22-23 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: (23) But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. (KJV) Jesus Christ came to deliver us from the old law, based on outward works, to a new law of faith that would be dictated from within, based on our hearing the word of God. Not only would faith involve hearing, but then it means we need to step out in faith according to what the new inward man is asking of us. This takes discipline and training, like when we were a newborn learning to walk. However, practice does make perfect, because what seemed like impossibility to us in the beginning now becomes a way of life, walking by faith and not by sight. Oh and yes, there will be opposition people, even your own thoughts and reasoning’s will get in there and cloud your judgment at times. Romans 7:24-25 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? (25) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (KJV) You know, when I go to God through His Son Jesus Christ, seeking first His kingdom, then all that is needed is provided, including that inward comfort of knowing that I heard the Lord’s answer and response which then brought an inward peace. However, the flip side of that equation is that my carnal mind is the enemy, and will not come into agreement with God unless I get my mind renewed back to the things above. So with the mind of Christ I can do all things through Him; however, with the carnal mind I stay entrapped and in bondage to whatever this fallen world has to offer. Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (KJV) That law of sin and death had me on death row, waiting for the sentence to be carried out until God’s lawyer came along and released me from this sentence. The law of faith; the law of the Spirit trumps that old law of sin and death, which then releases me from the carnal prison that I was held in bondage to. A new man is then released, who is rehabilitated and now walking according to a new way of life, totally opposite of what I used to follow in my past. Are old things really passing away in your walk, or does it seem like you are passing away instead, missing out on the new life that you have access to in Christ? Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV) Remember that old song “on Broadway”, you know, that one where everyone is hanging out? Yeah well, that is not the path that you want to be pursuing any longer. The reason only a few are actually finding that right path is because only a few are willing to look within the realm of the Spirit, and then actually walk according to what the Spirit would dictate and not the flesh. Oh and when they tell you that their church is the fastest growing church in the community that is a church that I would be leery about myself. Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Today we are posting A Famine Unheard Of day three, written January 12, 2011. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 A Famine Unheard Of Amos 8:11-13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: (12) And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. (13) In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst. (KJV) You know, I can tell you from my own experiences that I have wandered out and about looking for some truth, and quite frankly it’s hard to find because few really know the truth of the gospel. Oh there is a boatload of religion and ritualistic people that claim that they are of God, but when I listen to the doctrine I can see many are famished. Isaiah 5:12-14 And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands. (13) Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. (14) Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. (KJV) It seems like with many places that claim that they are a church the first thing that they do is play music and get the emotions stirred up. However, while they are feeding the carnal man, spiritually many are dying of hunger and are famished by a lack of nourishment. Because of this lack of hearing by those that are in leadership, well, that explains the reason why motel hell is constantly under construction and adding more rooms. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (KJV) Hey Church, don’t rely on someone else to feed you, but rather go straight to the source of life, that being our Spiritual source, and not only get a meal but get filled. You are one of God’s people when you accepted His plan of salvation, and it is His good pleasure to give you His kingdom. If you starve and go hungry Church, don’t blame God, because He has a meal prepared for all of His family. Revelation 3:20-22 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (21) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (KJV) When I was trucking years ago, we would use our CB radios to get information on where the best places to eat were at. Many times when calling out we would ask if anyone had their ears on? Well, it took a certain type of radio on a certain frequency to send the message and get a response as well. Our Lord has His own frequency which is Spiritual, and is calling to see who desires to stop at His rest stop and get a meal fit for a king, as well as one of His people. John 6:48-51 I am that bread of life. (49) Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. (50) This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. (51) I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. (KJV) Ever go past a bakery that is baking fresh bread? Quite enticing to the appetite to say the least isn’t it? Bread is something that is made on a daily basis, and is best eaten fresh from the oven. Our Lord has cooked up a meal for His people that will last for an eternity, have you had your slice of life today yet? Have a very blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good day. Have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good morning. Today's video Defining Moment is on the topic of what defines you or who defines you; you as a Christian? There are many defining moments in our lives. From the time we were born unto the present. Our lives are shaped by these defining moments. The same is true when we became born again; when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and we were given power to become the sons of God. John 1:11-12 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. (12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power (Christ, the power of God 1Cor 1:24) to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (KJV) So, what or who defines you? Do you know? Is it family traditions and doctrines, a job/career, a college education, a particular organization whether religious or not, a pastor, a teacher… (we could go on and on)? These things will not profit you in the kingdom of God. The flesh profits nothing; it is the spirit that gives life. That which is of the flesh is flesh and that which is of the Spirit is spirit. But who or what defines the Christian? It should be Christ in you the hope of glory. But many rely on what others have told them and have not gone to the source of all life and godliness, God our Father, and asked Him to show them who and what will define them daily in this new life that they have accepted through His Son Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: (15) And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. (16) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV) When you were born again it was a defining moment; old things passed away and all things are become new. Leaving behind our former manner of life in the fleshly desires of the world; dying daily to it and the lusts of it. Now letting Christ define who you are and then walk in that newness of life. Galatians 6:14-15 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. (15) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (KJV) Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV) Therefore, put off the old man with his deeds; and put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. Colossians 3:1-16 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. (2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. (4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (5) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: (6) For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: (7) In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. (8) But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. (9) Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; (10) And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: (11) Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. (12) Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; (13) Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. (14) And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. (15) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. (16) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (KJV) Romans 8:9-14 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (KJV) To be Christian is to be Christ like. Born not of men by but by the Spirit of the living God. Walking in the new and living way that was consecrated for us by the blood of Jesus Christ. And allow Christ to continue to define you moment by moment. Now faith is, today, this moment, now is the accepted time to be transformed from the image of this world into the image of God through Christ Jesus. We must take up our cross daily and follow Him, dying daily to the wants and desires of the flesh (the old man/nature), to live and walk in the Spirit, a defining moment. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes unto the Father but by him. To know God our Father, rather to be known of Him is a defining moment to see and enter into his kingdom. Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. (KJV) Hebrews 10:19-23 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, (20) By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (21) And having an high priest over the house of God; (22) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (23) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (KJV) God bless and keep the faith, allowing Christ to dwell richly in you; remember, this is your defining moment, no one else’s. Good morning. This week's video The Son - Part24 is on the topic of who the Son of God is; in Christ dwells the fullness. Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. (KJV) John 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. (KJV) In Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and we are complete in Him. Through Jesus Christ, the grace of God for mankind, received we this fullness; not of works lest any man should boast; it is a free gift. John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (KJV) John 16:13-15 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (KJV) By the faith of Jesus Christ, through the operation of that same faith working in us, we are able to see the fullness of the gift of Christ which we have been given; because without faith it is impossible to please God, and he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Philemon 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. (KJV) Of his fullness we have received the grace of God, his love shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which was given unto us; and peace with God, as well as his peace which he gave us to keep our hearts and minds in agreement with him, and that our hearts may not be troubled, neither afraid. If God be for us who can be against us; the veil done away in Christ so that we can go boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need. 1 Peter 1:13-16 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (KJV) In Christ is the fullness of the fruit of the Spirit; the character of God our Father; as he said be ye holy as I am holy. We have access to God’s grace and truth which is able to make us free and keep us free, as well as make us wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (KJV) Faith enlightens the eyes of our understanding to joy unspeakable, full of mercy and good fruits, which wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated (persuaded of), given without partiality (1 Corinthians 13:9-13), and is sincere (without hypocrisy, pretense) so that we may know the riches and fullness of the kingdom of God within us, and be known of God, for when his image appears in us we shall be like him and we shall see him as he is, and we shall be seen as his. Romans 5:1-5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (KJV) Of God’s fullness have we received; a cup that runs over with the measure or fullness of the gift of Christ; exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think according to the power (Christ) that works in us. Knowing that it is our Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom; all he is asking of you is to lose your life for Christ’s sake and follow in his Son’s footsteps so that of his fullness which he gave in Christ, shall he give unto you; that good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over: his exceeding riches in Christ Jesus his Son, in which all the fullness of the Godhead bodily dwells, and in whom you are complete. This is the will of God; to know him, and Jesus Christ whom he sent, and to be known of Him; for this is eternal life and that life is in his Son, Christ Jesus our Lord, the fullness of him that fills all in all. Jude 1:24-25 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Today's video Fiery Trial is on the topic of...Our God is a consuming fire. James 1:2-5 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (KJV) Psalms 66:10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. (KJV) Malachi 3:2-3 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. (KJV) Not all fiery trials come from Satan. As we go on please do keep in mind, that God does not tempt or try us with evil; man is drawn away of his own lust and enticed (James 1:13-15). Think about this, our God is a consuming fire; and there are times in our walk with the Lord that God will try or prove us to bring us to a better place, a more perfect or mature place in Christ his Son. Sometimes God will prune (chasten) us like a branch on the vine, but sometimes an area of our life takes fire to cleanse away the weeds so that it will be good ground for Him to regenerate new growth in that area of our spiritual garden. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. (KJV) The materials that we use, in other words what we put into our relationship with the Lord will be tried; and it will manifest if it can withstand the fiery trial, whether it be of God or a temptation from Satan. Will your faith, your trust in God withstand (endure) or will you wither under trial? Will you trust God, even if you don’t fully understand what He is doing in your life? Remember we will get out what we put into it (2 Corinthians 9:6, Galatian 6:6-7). Would you be willing to give up and walk away from what you treasure on this earth; whether it be man’s wisdom and knowledge you acquired over time, or riches, houses, wives, children, brethren, or your church to follow Christ? Or will you be like the rich young ruler, in Matthew 19:16-22, who when he asked the Lord what he must do to inherit eternal life was told to sell what he had and give to the poor, and take up his cross and follow Him, he went away sorrowful because he had great riches? Paul suffered the loss of all things and chose to count them as dung or refuse that he may win Christ. Philippians 3:7-11 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. (KJV) We (Greg and I) have been through our own wilderness experience these last five years; and suffered the loss of all things which were gain to us, but we also chose to count them as dung that we may win Christ, and be ambassadors for Christ holding forth the word of life in sincerity and in truth. Was our journey always easy? No, we went through the Lord’s furnace of affliction to burn off our old thoughts and ways. It has only been in the last year that the vision the Lord began us on this journey with has been speaking, and our desire is to be able to share it with others so that if the Lord calls them to a better place in their walk, they can run knowing that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose. And we can truly say that we are in a better place spiritually, and moving forward to the promised land; eternal life with God our Father and with our Lord Jesus Christ. What are you willing to walk away from or let go of to inherit eternal life? God bless, and may you always being growing and maturing in our Lord Christ Jesus. Amen.
