Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of our calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (KJV)
Throughout the Word when you see hope mentioned you will find the word expectation accompanying it. When you pray, do you really expect the Lord’s outcome, or do you jump to conclusions thinking maybe He forgot, or just didn’t hear you? That should not be the case at all Church because you have entered a realm where you serve the best, and nothing short of the best should be expected. Hebrews 3:5-6 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (KJV) Some of us have a wait problem; where instead of discarding the excess spiritual weight in the form of cares and concerns of this life, we hang onto dead things that weigh us down. It’s not that the answer isn’t available; it’s just a matter of allowing it to manifest. You may have prayed to God in your time, however our Lord responds in His. Isaiah 40:28-31 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (KJV) There are times where you will pray about something, and then wait for it to manifest. Sometimes you grow weary waiting for the answer. A daily renewing of the mind will keep that hope alive and within reach for all those that continue in the faith. Isaiah 51:3-5 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. 4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people. 5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust. (KJV) Dearly loved, remember, patience is a virtue. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Psalm 62:5-8 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in him
at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. (KJV) Strong’s Definition for Expectation - 8615 tiqvah (tik-vaw'); from 6960; literally, a cord (as an attachment [compare 6961]); figuratively, expectancy: KJV--expectation ([-ted]), hope, live, thing that I long for. The plan of salvation you have chosen to walk in comes with some strings or cords attached, so to speak. In the past you held to deadlines which were drowning you in destruction and perdition, but now, in Christ, you can grab hold of a new life line which will lift you up and bring you above the cares and concerns of this fallen world. Strong’s Definition for Salvation - 3444 yeshuw` ah (yesh-oo'-aw); feminine passive participle of 3467; something saved, i.e. (abstractly) deliverance; hence, aid, victory, prosperity: KJV-- deliverance, health, help (-ing), salvation, save, saving (health), welfare. Psalm 37:4-7 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. (KJV) Salvation gives you access to the things above so that you can start to experience a bit of heaven here on earth. I am sure you have desires, things you dream about, and these things now involve the heavenly realm. While the Lord desires for you to wait for His lifeline, the enemy will try and throw you a deadline instead. Dearly loved, have a blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Exodus 14:10-12 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD. 11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? 12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. (KJV)
We have all faced our own pharaoh at times, seemingly insurmountable odds that according to the outward were leading us to a dead end. As in the verses above, you will notice throughout the scriptures life is about choices, and for those who have chosen to walk with the Lord it comes down to whether you will react in the flesh or respond in the Spirit. Exodus 14:13-15 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. 15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: (KJV) As you move forward with the Lord there will be opposition to this plan of salvation you have chosen, and as you encounter these obstacles in life, the Lord desires for you to keep moving forward. In verse 14 the children of Israel had the Lord working on their behalf, and I pray that as you continue your own search through the Word that you will see that our Lord desires to work on your behalf as well. The question now becomes, will you let Him? Exodus 14:16-18 16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. 17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. 18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. (KJV) The Lord has cleared a path for you to walk in as well; in fact He drew it up before the foundation of the world. Now that you have accepted this plan, continue to move forward in it and you too will see things manifest in your own walk above and beyond what you could have ever asked or begun to think. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
