With the movie star Oscars airing tomorrow night it reminded us of this video and writing we did concerning the most important one mankind should be seeking after, that being God's Oscar for those who endure to the end. The body of Christ will be the winners of eternal life. And the Oscar Goes To 1Corinthians 9:24-27 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. (25) And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. (26) I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: (27) But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. (KJV) The other night was what Hollywood aka La La Land calls the Oscars; where they pat each other on the back for what a great job of acting they have done. It is called La La Land because they have exchanged an opportunity of a life with God, a reality of truth, to live a life of acting out others’ lives instead of their own, thus living a reality of a lie; always having to compromise their reality so that they can get that next big break in the industry. Choosing uncertainty over the peace and assurance of God. So at the end of the night there was a snafu in the presentation of the Oscar for best picture; those who were to announce the winners were given the wrong card and announced the wrong winners. It wasn’t realized until everyone was already on stage, awaiting the Oscar to be put into their hands. Thus they had to correct the mistake and those who thought they had won had to leave the stage, their dream of an Oscar dashed, and the true winners were called up onto the stage to receive their reward of an Oscar. Talk about a disappointment for those who thought they had won. Now look at that in the context of the stage of life; many are called but few are chosen. We all have a choice of the reality of our life here on earth. Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV) Many will be called up to the judgement seat of Christ thinking they won; perceiving they did all the right things, only to realize they did not win the crown of life. They had a false reality, a false hope; they were ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth that would set them free to be who God created them to be, their true purpose, being a witness unto the truth. At a point in their life they came to a crossroad and had to choose which direction they were going to take. And I am sure the devil was there with a highlight reel of what they could have if they took the path of least resistance, his path, the broad path based on a lie and not on the truth or will of God. In the end they compromised, and chose the things of this life greater riches than the life that God had planned for them. And so they have their reward, their reality for eternity, which will be much more than just disappointment. Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (KJV) 1Corinthians 6:9-10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (KJV) For the few, the body of Christ, the true believers, who chose the path of life based on the reality of God and His Word, they are the true winners. Those who chose to put their flesh into subjection to the Spirit and walk the straight and narrow path which will lead them to life and life more abundantly (the life that Jesus Christ died and paid the price for you to have) doing the will of God along the way, knowing His Son, they will win the race, they will receive the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give them at that day. So in the end…the Oscar goes to…the body of Christ. When all is said and done the grand prize at the end of this life, the incorruptible crown, the crown of righteousness, is eternal life for those who love God, His Son Jesus Christ, and who answered the call, and ran the race according to His purpose which He proposed for them. Love Comes Softly Love is like a gentle cool breeze that wisps past your face on a hot summer day; you don’t know where it came from or where it goes, yet you sensed its presence and took pleasure in it; so is the Holy Spirit which leads and guides us in the love of God; it comes softly. Love is like a still small voice that soothes the soul bringing calm delight and joy to your heart; so is the still small voice of our Father in heaven which beacons us to follow it into the love and peace of God which passes all understanding; it comes softly. Love is like a sweet embrace that gently wraps itself around you, comforting you in heart, soul, and spirit; so is the Comforter, the love of God, His sweet embrace that gently wraps itself around you and lets you know that all is well in Him; it comes softly. Even with correction, when the heart and soul are grieved, love comes softly and encourages you to lift up your hands which hang down, and let your feeble knees be strengthened; and be determined to make straight paths for your feet through the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit, and be healed. For those whom the Lord loves He chastens; and at the present it seems grievous but it is truly joyous, because afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto those who are exercised by it; those who take heed of the correction and change course onto the path of the righteous that they may be healed. And so remember my dearly loved brethren in Christ, love comes softly; so be merciful as your Father in Heaven, for with what measure you meet will be measured unto you. Today we are reposting a writing from 2008 on spiritual abortion which many in the Church do not realize is happening right in front of them and maybe has happened in their own life. Our sincere prayer is that the body of believers will give heed to the correction of God and be aware that as abortion is happening in the physical which is against the word of God so is spiritual abortion happening which is also against the word of God and His plan of salvation for mankind. Wednesday, July 30, 2008 Abortion Clinic Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (28) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (KJV) You know, of all the things God has asked of mankind here is the one thing they have done, and that is being fruitful and replenishing this earth. In fact they have become so fruitful that in the last 30 years or so they have erected clinics to undo some of this fruitfulness, which has drawn much protest and interest from those that truly realize the ramifications of these practices. For those that have the eyes of their understanding opened and enlightened to the realm of the Spirit they see that these verses have a deeper meaning; so while mankind thinks bearing more offspring is being fruitful, the Lord is asking His people to be more fruitful, in other words bearing the fruit of the Spirit. So while people are protesting abortions that take place in the carnal realm, how many are taking place in the spiritual realm, the unseen realm of man but totally visible to our Lord? While mankind considers abortion the ultimate crime against humanity because it takes the life of a young baby, how many realize the new life that has begun in the believers, and how the spiritual thief has been allowed to perform spiritual abortions on many new born babes in Christ? And how few even realize this practice is taking place right in front of them? John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (KJV) You know, a new life has begun in you, the believer in Christ, who has asked the Lord to take up residence within you. Be aware though, there is a spiritual thief, one that tries to steal the truth from the believer, which kills the new life that has begun in them and results in their soul being destroyed forever by being separated from God for eternity. Sometimes this thief comes in the form of a minister who claims to be of God but in reality is ministering a lethal dose of false doctrine; like with a poison it may be undetectable to the senses but lethal enough to result in death. Similar to the protesters which parade around abortion clinics and endure persecution, the same holds true spiritually for those that walk in truth and expose these deadly practices. James 4:2-5 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. (3) Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. (4) Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (5) Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? (KJV) You lust; you kill; so what is being killed? Well how about that new life in Christ you promised Him and how you said you would walk in truth? Instead of desiring the things of the Spirit you continue your pursuit of things of this life, you know like being lukewarm. Instead of fighting the good fight of faith keeping your body in subjection to the Spirit you are fighting and fussing over things of this temporal realm, which ends up drowning out the voice of God which you made a vow to follow. Some of these places you call a church, are nothing more than a cheap disguise for an abortion clinic, one that promises liberty but the results are deadly. You know as a Christian you would never lend your support to a clinic that aborts a baby in the flesh, yet how many are supporting spiritual abortions and don’t even realize it because of their lack of diligence in the word of God? Mark 4:18-20 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, (19) And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (20) And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. (KJV) When you choke the Word, similar to what was written in the book of Hebrews, you are crucifying the Son of God all over again, putting Him to an open shame. If you notice in verse 19, that instead of being fruitful, keep in mind Church the fruit of the Spirit, it has now become unfruitful, barren and dead. What was once impregnated with a new life and should have been brought to term ended up terminated instead, and so will those that allow their own desires to have precedence over the things of the Spirit. Are you growing daily in the word of God and feeding your spirit man, that new life within, or have you terminated it and have decided it was a mistake? Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (21) I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (KJV) Is Christ alive and well within you, growing and maturing so that you can grow up into Him? Are you aware that God’s plan of salvation is one of grace and not by our works, especially the works of the old law, the letter of the law that kills rather than brings life? Did you ever stop and think that by coming into agreement with those that still hold to the old law and its dead rituals you are actually killing rather than bringing life to the believer? Do you want to actually go before God and tell Him that the sacrifice of His Son was done in vain, that you chose not to accept it? Like with many young people that get talked into aborting their pregnancies; it’s not until afterward that the true reality of what happened hits them in the form of guilt and sorrow. Don’t be one of those who allow the enemy to distort the truth and talk you out of God’s plan of salvation, aborting a new life and spending an eternity of guilt and sorrow when it comes time to deal with the reality of your decision. 2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. (KJV) Be aware people, the Bible warns us about the many false prophets that promise liberty but in reality are the servants of corruption. Just like with the doctors and counselors that promise liberty to those that abort a child, what they said would bring freedom and peace to the mother actually results in a criminal act that has long lasting consequences. Those that promise liberty and peace to the believers in Christ and still hold to the letter of the old law, in essence kill the true meaning of the doctrine of Christ which was meant to bring life and not death, and will have eternal consequences as well. What are you lending your support to today; and is it based on truth, the only thing that sets one free and allows you to continue walking the path of life? Do you know the doctrine of Christ that will bring life to the believer? Because quite simply put, anything else is an abortion. Being the fact that the spiritual is greater than the physical you definitely do not want to be lending your support to these practices. In conclusion today; people abort what they call unwanted pregnancies because they decide it is too much of a burden and will interfere with their own desires. In reading the verses from today’s study we see the same holds true in the spiritual realm also. We are to nourish and cherish the members of the body of Christ even as the Lord does the church, which we are if we abide in his love; for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. Remember his prayer in John 17, specifically verses 20-23. (KJV) Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (KJV) All members are needful, and God sets them in the body as he sees fit (read 1 Corinthians 12). If you or anyone else comes against any part of the body, you come against God and his Christ. The effects to the body are personal to our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. So be aware that what we say or do can have a personal effect on the body of Christ; we are members one of another; and we are not our own. 1 Corinthians 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. (KJV) Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. (KJV) 1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (KJV) Colossians 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: (KJV) Further references: James 2:15-16, 1 John 3:16-18, Deuteronomy 15:7-8, Luke 6:20-38, Proverbs 3:27-28, James 5:13-20, 1 Timothy 4:1-16, 2 Timothy 2:24-26, Proverbs 19:17, Colossians 3:23-24 There are many who corrupt the word of God and crucify the Son of God afresh. But there is still a remnant (few) who continue to hold forth the word of God in sincerity and in truth to the edification of the body of Christ and his glory. The personal effects are eternal; whether it be the sheep on the right hand of the Lord who have done the will of God, blessed of the Father, who will inherit the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world, or whether it be the goats on the left who the Lord considers workers of iniquity and told them to depart from him into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels. With what measure you mete; it shall be measured unto you again. As for us personally, we will continue to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, effectually ministering and holding forth the gospel of Christ in sincerity and in truth for his body’s sake and all those who shall believe on him through our word. Good morning. Today's video Outsourcing is on the topic of Are you outsourcing your salvation? Revelation 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (KJV) Are you outsourcing your salvation? Like a company outsources the manufacturing of their products. Today there are many Christians who are outsourcing their salvation to another. They are relying on a pastor, a minister, an organization to put together a spiritual meal for them, or tell them what is truth, or what they should do; and that may be once a week, or twice, or whenever they feel they need it because they are so busy with other things. And it does not seem to matter if there is truth or quality to it. It is like fast food; it never looks or tastes as good as they advertise it be, but people eat it anyway because they are hungry and at that point it does not matter what the truth of the ingredients are or if they are of quality. Few question or seek to know where their food is coming from or the quality of it, whether it be physically or spiritually. Broad is the path and easy is the way that leads to destruction, and many are blindly on that path and do not even know it. Mark 4:24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. (KJV) Who and what are you listening to? God and his doctrine; or men and their interpretation of God’s doctrine? It is given unto you to know. When you were born again you were given the gift of God and everything needful to come to the knowledge of the truth. It is all within you, now seek it out with the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit who will guide you into all truth. Do not rely on men to do it for you or you may get an inferior product of your salvation that will not be allowed into the kingdom of God. (KJV) The state of our salvation is a product of the time and effort that we spend daily seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. Going straight to the throne of God through his Son Jesus Christ for our daily bread, for his wisdom on each situation that comes up, for his truth, comfort, grace, and mercy. Praying without ceasing; always in fellowship with God and his Son, so that our faith stands in the power of God, and not in the wisdom of men. Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (10) And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: (KJV) We encourage you, please do not outsource your salvation to another doctrine, to another gospel than that which you have received of our Lord Jesus Christ, which the Holy Spirit confirms by leading you into all truth if you allow it to be so. Yes, the Lord can use others to speak to us, to enlighten us, to encourage us in our walk in faith; but always go to God our Father through Jesus Christ and make sure what you hear and receive is truly of Him because there are many false prophets in the world who serve the god of this world, Satan, and although they may appear as an angel of light, they are instead the servants of corruption, who seek their own gain. Do not be ignorant of Satan’s devices; if you know the truth you will know them by their fruit. The Lord warned us… Matthew 7:15-20 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (16) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. (19) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. (20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (KJV) John 7:16-18 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. (17) If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. (18) He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. (KJV) Dear brethren in our Lord Jesus Christ, try the spirits whether they be of God or not (1John 4:1-6). Let God be true and every man a liar, including ourselves until we come into agreement with God and his doctrine. Men are created beings in the likeness of sinful flesh due to the fall of mankind, not God! Always seek the truth from God, so that you can discern between good and evil, and rightly divide the word of truth which will enlighten your eyes to recognize the lies so that you are not taken captive by the devil at his will and brought into bondage again. Remember, just as God works through others to help us, so can the devil to try to steal, kill, and destroy. John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV) When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we were given everything needed to in-source our salvation; each one of us is responsible for our own salvation (work own salvation with fear and trembling); to make our calling and election sure. Do you want to hear the Lord say unto you when you stand before Him, “well done my good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of the Lord” or “I never knew you, depart from me you worker of iniquity”? Good morning. Today's video Defining Moment is on the topic of what defines you or who defines you; you as a Christian? There are many defining moments in our lives. From the time we were born unto the present. Our lives are shaped by these defining moments. The same is true when we became born again; when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and we were given power to become the sons of God. John 1:11-12 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. (12) But as many as received him, to them gave he power (Christ, the power of God 1Cor 1:24) to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (KJV) So, what or who defines you? Do you know? Is it family traditions and doctrines, a job/career, a college education, a particular organization whether religious or not, a pastor, a teacher… (we could go on and on)? These things will not profit you in the kingdom of God. The flesh profits nothing; it is the spirit that gives life. That which is of the flesh is flesh and that which is of the Spirit is spirit. But who or what defines the Christian? It should be Christ in you the hope of glory. But many rely on what others have told them and have not gone to the source of all life and godliness, God our Father, and asked Him to show them who and what will define them daily in this new life that they have accepted through His Son Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: (15) And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. (16) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (KJV) When you were born again it was a defining moment; old things passed away and all things are become new. Leaving behind our former manner of life in the fleshly desires of the world; dying daily to it and the lusts of it. Now letting Christ define who you are and then walk in that newness of life. Galatians 6:14-15 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. (15) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (KJV) Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV) Therefore, put off the old man with his deeds; and put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. Colossians 3:1-16 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. (2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. (4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (5) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: (6) For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: (7) In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. (8) But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. (9) Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; (10) And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: (11) Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. (12) Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; (13) Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. (14) And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. (15) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. (16) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (KJV) Romans 8:9-14 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (KJV) To be Christian is to be Christ like. Born not of men by but by the Spirit of the living God. Walking in the new and living way that was consecrated for us by the blood of Jesus Christ. And allow Christ to continue to define you moment by moment. Now faith is, today, this moment, now is the accepted time to be transformed from the image of this world into the image of God through Christ Jesus. We must take up our cross daily and follow Him, dying daily to the wants and desires of the flesh (the old man/nature), to live and walk in the Spirit, a defining moment. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes unto the Father but by him. To know God our Father, rather to be known of Him is a defining moment to see and enter into his kingdom. Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. (KJV) Hebrews 10:19-23 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, (20) By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (21) And having an high priest over the house of God; (22) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (23) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (KJV) God bless and keep the faith, allowing Christ to dwell richly in you; remember, this is your defining moment, no one else’s.
