1 Corinthians 2:5-6 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught: (KJV)
Paul spells out the plan of salvation because of what he heard firsthand though the Spirit. In fact he heard so well that God used him to pen most of the epistles. Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith. (KJV) Knowing the gospel of Christ is what allows you to tap into the power source, and you will find that Christ desires to reveal Himself to you personally so that you can go from faith in what you have seen outwardly to what you are now seeing inwardly. The gospel of Christ shows us how to die to self so that Christ can resurrect and become alive and real to you. 1 Corinthians 1:17-19 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. (KJV) The doctrine of Christ does not point people to dead end, outdated rituals, but shows you how to walk in the power and wisdom of God. This is foolish to many because they are all in when it comes time to be blessed, but no shows when it is time to die to self. 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. (KJV) In these last days the enemy of our Lord has a title; do you know what it is? Antichrist, because he does all he can to keep the believers from tapping into the wisdom and power of God. The doctrine of Christ not only gets the attention from above and allows you to be a receptacle of the blessings, but it also makes you a target of the enemy because you are exposing the truth. Galatians 1:15-16 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: (KJV) When you were born, the first thing they did was cut the umbilical cord so that you were no longer drawing your strength from that source. The first thing our Lord desires to do for His people when they are reborn, is to attach a Spiritual cord so that you can draw your strength from Him, and allow Him to be your source of life. Dearly loved have a very blessed and prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 2:3-5 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (KJV)
Paul realized, as you also will, that in order to be strong, you have to become weak. Paul who was well versed in the old law found out that he could not rely on what he learned in the past, but would have to be re-taught all over again how to walk in the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. (KJV) When someone posts an ad for a job opening they look for the most qualified person; however, when God posts openings for His kingdom, His calling is not based on an outward pedigree, it’s just the opposite; and change came in my life when I looked in the mirror and realized how weak and pathetic I was. By getting out of the way I was able to give the Lord something to work with. 2 Corinthians 12:6-8 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. (KJV) I used to think that if I studied more and tried to come off as bullet proof to others that it would make me more effective in the Lord; but every time I reverted back to works, just the opposite happened. I found out what doesn’t work, and that is anything outside the realm of faith in what our Lord has done, and not what I think I am doing on His behalf. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (KJV) I found that when I am open and honest with people I can relate much better with them so that they don’t feel like they are weird or ungodly because of things they have done in their past. In fact, the more I come clean with God and His people, the more they will open up. God bless dearly loved, and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. (KJV)
When Paul was preaching he wasn’t looking at how big a following he had, but looking inwardly at God’s people to see how much of Christ they were allowing to work in them. When you search for truth what are you looking for, an outward show? Or are you looking for a doctrine that truly feeds the inward man? Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. (KJV) Jesus Christ had a large following for a season, however, it didn’t last. One week they were hailing Him as king, and the next they were railing on Him; and come time for the crucifixion not many stuck around. You will find as you deliver the doctrine of Christ it will not be popular either, but it’s the only one the Lord gives credence to. 2 Corinthians 4:15-18 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (KJV) When you were born again in the Spirit, you also died. The outward way of seeing and understanding now ceases so that a new way can be revealed to you, and the more you die to self and learn to trust in the unseen realm, the less the outward appearance of things will have an influence on you. Galatians 6:13-15 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. 14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (KJV) Here is what separates the children from the adults spiritually. When you quit getting caught up in the outward religions and rituals of man and allow Christ Himself to show you the true interpretation of His word. God is no longer looking at the outward, but is looking within to see if there is new life. God bless dearly loved, and have a very prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
