Matthew 10:32-33 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. (33) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)
By our own words we will be justified or condemned; we are either for or against Him. So in order to confess Him, it is vital that we come to know Him personally so that we know and not guess who the Son is, the answer Father will ask all of us some day. 1 John 2:22-23 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (23) Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. (KJV) Many books have been written, numerous movies made about some big bad antichrist that will be revealed during the time of tribulation. But did you know there is a spirit of antichrist doing all he can to keep you from coming to a working knowledge of who the Son of God is, and all that you have access to through His name? You mention the name of Jesus, which to this day is still a common name being used by mankind, and you will get the attention of many different people. Mention the name of Christ, and you get the attention of our heavenly Father, as well as his adversary. 1 Peter 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. (KJV) Antichrist means an adversary, as well as an opponent of the Messiah. The name of Christ gives you access to all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, an eternal unending wealth of spiritual blessings, which is why there is a spirit of antichrist right now, doing all he can to keep you from the truth. 1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (2) By this know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God; (3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (KJV) So how does someone pass the test, which is what the word “try” means? The same test you will be given before the Father is the one you can give as well. Is the teaching in line with God’s word? Are they confessing a working knowledge of Christ, the Son of the living God? Are they teaching the full name of Jesus Christ, or are they leaving part of it out, thus the term, antichrist? Do they have insight concerning the mystery of the gospel, or is it still a mystery to them? Again, it’s not anti Jesus, anti God, but rather anti Christ, no other name given to mankind that will access them to the throne of God. No wonder so much opposition. If you watch football much, you will see the defense play a certain way until the other team gets close to the goal line. Then they bear down, and put up a goal line stance, doing all they can to keep one from scoring. The same holds true in the spiritual as well; you start naming the name of Christ and access Father’s goal line, then you will start to see the opponent stack up the defense as well against you. 2 John 1:7-10 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (8) Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. (9) Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (10) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: (KJV) The Bible says that many are called, but few chosen. So what has happened to the many? Without a firm foundation to build on, without a working knowledge of the doctrine of Christ, a rock solid name to stand on, many get deceived and end up short of the goal line. You need to be watchful of the doctrine you allow into your own spiritual house; if it is not the doctrine of Christ, it’s not of God. 2 Corinthians 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. (KJV) Even in the time of Paul the apostle, many were corrupting the word of God, which means to retail, peddle, making money, basically hucksters. Paul was not referring to those of the world either, but rather those that claimed to be of God. What do you think his reaction would be today if he was to turn on some of these TV ministries and see how the hucksters have set up shop, supposedly in the name of the Lord? And by the way, the only reason this stuff continues to go on, is because people fall for the gimmicks; and whether they realize it or not, they end up supporting the spirit of antichrist, giving credence to the lie. Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (KJV) When it comes time to stand before the Father and give account of your life it is not a time when you should have question marks, but rather the answer He is seeking. If you notice the example given is dealing with the name, so if you choose to be in denial and deny Him before men, what goes around will come back around, like getting stuffed at the goal line. Are you with Him, or against Him? Do you know the difference? Settle the score so that you will be able to pass the heavenly test, and receive the reward of inheritance which is rightfully yours for the taking. God bless dearly loved and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ever watch a mystery movie or TV program, how it twists and turns, until the identity of the main character is revealed, which explains the whole program and ties it all together? So who is that mystery man that Paul the apostle wrote about, who will give you a personal insight into the kingdom of God as well?
Romans 1:3-4 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; (4) And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: (KJV) Jesus of Nazareth was a man well known as the son of a carpenter, as well as the son of Mary with numerous brothers and sisters; not much of a mystery there. In fact to this day, the name Jesus is still a popular name among many. So where then and what would be the mystery that is hidden, and do we have access to that information as well? Ephesians 3:3-5 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, (4) Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) (5) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (KJV) It’s the mystery of Christ, the Son of God that each and every believer needs to come into contact with in order to see and understand God’s plan of salvation, ready to unfold before your own eyes, revealing the true identity of the Son. Thayer’s definition for mystery: 3466 musterion- 1) hidden thing, secret, mystery a) generally mysteries, religious secrets, confided only to the initiated and not to ordinary mortals b) a hidden or secret thing, not obvious to the understanding c) a hidden purpose or counsel; secret will: 1) of men 2) of God: the secret counsels which govern God in dealing with the righteous, which are hidden from ungodly and wicked men but plain to the godly 2) in rabbinic writings, it denotes the mystic or hidden sense: of an Old Testament saying, of an image or form seen in a vision, of a dream Being that God is a Spirit, then it is only fitting to realize that His only begotten Son is Spirit as well. Though many look to the outward man for the answer to the mystery, the secret of God is within, Christ in you the hope of glory. Colossians 2:2-3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; (3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (KJV) In Christ is hidden a treasure chest of wisdom and knowledge, a spiritual enlightenment to the things of God, hidden to the carnal man, but ready to be revealed in the Spirit. Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (KJV) The son of man, Jesus of Nazareth was born, to be led by the Son of God given, Christ, so that He could manifest God’s plan of salvation to all mankind. Colossians 4:3-4 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: (4) That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. (KJV) Sometimes when reading a mystery novel, or watching a movie, the answer that reveals the main character is simple, sometimes unexpected, yet hidden in plain sight. Are you looking for the answer in the spiritual, or still trying to comprehend it by your natural understanding? 1 Corinthians 2:7-10 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: (8) Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (9) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (KJV) Many today still crucify the meaning of the Word, God’s plan of salvation, because they seek to justify themselves in the flesh, and not by the Spirit, which is mysterious to say the least. Romans 8:7-9 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (8) So, then, they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (KJV) The mind is a terrible thing to waste, and if one does not have a working knowledge of who Christ is, and how to operate in the spiritual realm, then they are not one of His, but rather a mystery to Him as well. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Matthew 16:13-15 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? (14) And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. (15) He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? (KJV)
If you were to go to a busy area and interview people asking the same question “who do you say the Lord is and what is His name?” you too would probably end up with as many different answers as the number of people you asked. In fact some two thousand years later we still have many trying to associate the Lord with being a Baptist, which if He didn’t acknowledge it then why would He now? So how would you answer the question? Would you go to the word of God and seek His answer, letting the Spirit reveal it you, or will you jump on mans’ bandwagon letting some blind driver lead you to a ditch? Matthew 16:16-18 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (18) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (KJV) Thayer’s definition for ‘revealed’: 601 apokalupto- 1) to uncover, to lay open what has been veiled or covered up, to disclose, to make bare 2) to make known, to make manifest, to disclose what before was unknown While there are so many different opinions and doctrines, are you spending enough time in the Word, and waiting on God’s answer so you will hear and be able to respond according to His word as well? The best way to settle it for yourself is to ask, “what did the Lord call Himself, what name is a rock solid foundation that I too can establish His house on so that the gates of hell will no longer keep me in bondage?” Luke 24:45-47 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, (46) And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: (47) And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (KJV) Many knew a man that walked this earth some two thousand years ago named Jesus of Nazareth, the son of a carpenter, the son of man. Now the question is, how many truly know the Son of God within Him, and the name He is establishing His church upon? John 20:30-31 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: (31) But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. (KJV) What’s in a name? To many it’s no big deal, but to those that are saved, Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our salvation; which being the fact that it is precious in Father’s sight, how precious is His name become to you as well? John 4:24-26 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (25) The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. (26) Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. (KJV) The Old Testament prophets spoke of the Messiah that God would send for the salvation of the world. The New Testament prophets speak of the Messiah that has come, and what His name is. But unless you know Him personally, you won’t be able to come to a working knowledge of our Father through the Son sent to reveal the only way into His kingdom. Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. (KJV) So don’t just settle for mans’ answer because you will get many different ones. Take the time for yourself and ask the Father through Jesus Christ to reveal Himself to you personally, so that you can establish the answer for yourself. Search the scriptures, because someday you will have to stand before the Father, and unless you are able to give a response that is based according to His word, revealed by the Spirit to you personally, you may not have the answer that is blessed of our Father. John 17:1-3 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: (2) As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. (3) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (KJV) God has sent His answer to all mankind through His Son, ready to be revealed to those that are truly seeking a personal relationship. Like getting a letter, unless you take the time to open the envelope, and receive the message, you won’t know what was sent. You’ve got mail. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. As with any building, it has to be built according to a certain code, up to the standard required so that it will pass inspection. Father has provided a building code as well, a spiritual blueprint that has to be read and followed in order to pass His inspection as well.
Psalms 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. (KJV) In order to understand this code one needs to be in direct communication with the foreman, otherwise the building won’t stand. Luke 6:47-49 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: (48) He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. (49) But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. (KJV) A firm foundation is the most important part of the building, and without it you are on shaky ground, ready to be swept away with winds of doctrines; or a flood of new wave teachings that are not up to Father’s code written in His blueprint of salvation. 1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (KJV) Could you imagine being a building contractor and leaving out the cornerstone of the building; the foundation that holds it together? Being that you are the temple of the living God, would you want to leave this stone unturned and not put to use? CORNERSTONE A stone placed at the corner, or the intersecting angle, where two walls of a building come together. In biblical times, buildings were often made of cut, squared stone. By uniting two intersecting walls, a cornerstone helped align the whole building and tie it together. (from Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary) By leaving out the most important part of the blueprint of salvation, will leave you on shaky ground, and you might just end up getting fired. Ephesians 2:19-22 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; (20) And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; (21) In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: (22) In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (KJV) Jesus Christ is a sure thing, the one mediator between God and man, who was able to follow God’s plan of salvation. Being that He is the author and finisher of our faith, are you following the same blueprint as well, or are you trying to rewrite the book, cut corners, leaving out the most important part of the instructions? 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. (KJV) Why not go with a sure thing, the winning formula, the name of Jesus Christ will access you to the throne of God, and the spirit of Christ will enlighten your understanding of what His will and design is for your spiritual house as well. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (KJV) Have you ever heard the phrase ‘who’s the man’? Someday you will have to stand before Father and answer that question as well. Will you be able to give the answer according to His word, or will you go by popular opinion? Will your answer pass inspection and be up to His code? The consequences are eternal. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. John 14:13-15 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (14) If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. (KJV)
When looking at the definition of the word commandments, it refers to an order or a command, as well as an authoritative prescription. Being that the Lord is referred to as a physician as well, would it not be beneficial for us to follow His prescription? There is a saying that he who is his own doctor has a fool for a patient. So will you follow the doctor’s orders, especially those of someone who walked victoriously while on this earth, or will you end up bedridden and weak? 1 John 3:22-23 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (23) And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. (KJV) The Son God has a name, a full name actually, and though at times some have referred to the name of Christ as just a title, it is actually the name of a real person, have you met Him? When I think of my own name, my first name is a common one. When mentioning the rest of my name, it then identifies me with a certain family lineage, making it complete. Dialing our prayers and supplications through Jesus Christ is like making a call; His complete name is the area code that directs us to the throne. Try dialing a number on your phone and leaving part of it out, you won’t get through. Is that the kind of prayer life you desire, I think not. Some claim, as well as countless books and tapes that the power is in the name of Jesus. What does the Word say? 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; (24) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. (KJV) Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (KJV) Ever wonder why we are called Christians? Have you ever noticed it is the spirit of antichrist, not anti Jesus, anti God or antifreeze? With all the power and authority we have in that name, why would you leave it out of your prayers? Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. (11) This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. (12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV) Have you ever walked along and suddenly stumbled? The first thing you do is look back to see what it is you stumbled on, which obviously you didn’t see the first time. The word of God tells us specifically what many are stumbling on; and the stone that the Lord refers to is spiritual in nature, which is why many continue to stumble and fall. 1 Peter 2:4-5 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, (5) Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. (KJV) Father considers this stone precious in His sight, and yet the most important stone for building a strong foundation, many times is discarded and not used. 1 Peter 2:6-8 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. (7) Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, (8) And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. (KJV) How strong of a case are you building for your salvation? Is there enough evidence to convict you of being a Christian, Christ like, or are you building a case based on circumstantial man made doctrines? Matthew 10:32-33 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. (33) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (KJV) You wouldn’t want your name left out of the Lamb’s book of life; why would someone leave His name out as well, especially when He is the author and finisher of it. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 Corinthians 10:20-23 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. (21) Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. (22) Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? (23) All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. (KJV)
My dearly loved brethren, with liberty comes responsibility; So please don’t be as the many which corrupt the word of God: but in sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God let your manner of life glorify Him; don’t compromise; don’t settle; leave the old corrupt world and its ways behind you for good. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first”, Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end. Love never dies. (The Message 1Corinthians 13:7-8)
1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. (8) He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (KJV) My dearly loved brethren, walk in love to the end; and remember love is nothing until you give it away; so give and it shall be given unto you more abundantly above all that you could ever ask or think. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving. (The Message Colossians 2:6-7)
My dearly loved brethren, start living and continue in the things that you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them; hold fast the profession of faith, stay grounded and settled, not moved away from the hope that is within you, Christ our Lord, for He is your life. Continue living in Him and for Him in all things with thanksgiving this day. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Kind mercy wins over harsh judgment every time. (The Message James 2:13)
My dearly loved brethren, be kindly affectionate to one another as your Father in heaven is toward you. Love one another out of a pure heart; pray for one another; encourage one another for the time is short. Judge not lest you be judged. Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. (23) They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (KJV) God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. Good morning dear brethren, in the January 2015 issue of The Costco Connection was the article below about being positive, persevering, and remaining in now.
By Wally Amos: Be Positive DON’T QUIT. This idea came to me this morning during my prayer time. It felt like a plea. In Napoleon Hill’s legendary book Think and Grow Rich (Napoleon Hill Foundation 2012: not available at Costco), he writes about a miner who quit inches away from one of the richest gold strikes of that time. Acres of Gold. How many times have you quit just inches away? You will never know. Not quitting means you constantly live where the action is, in the now. There simply is no place like now. It is the only time there is. You cannot get out of now. Also, the only place you can ever be is here. Wherever you go, that is where you are: here. To me that means you have everything to gain if you keep going, and nothing to lose. If you keep going you will not live a life of regret, saying, “if only,” or “I wish I had.” That is living in the past, which is nothing, and gives no rewards. Life is about constantly making positive decisions here and now, in the present. For me, this last year has been a year of one setback after another during the launching of another cookie company. The Cookie Kahuna. Often it felt like I would climb up the hill, almost reach the top, then slide back down. There have been some disappointing times, but at no time did I consider quitting. I knew if I quit it would be a definite “no, it’s over.” Yet, if I just found the courage and fortitude to keep going, I knew I would succeed. Which is exactly what happened. Life is never what it appears to be; it is always more. Just hold on to your vision, and have faith. We are human beings, doing things. My company is now up and selling cookies online, and all kinds of great things are happening because I refused to quit. Whatever you are working on, please, don’t quit! (Article from Costco Connection, January 2015) Now, although this was in pursuit of something in the physical sense, Wally was encouraged to press forward and not to quit; but how much more are we encouraged to do the same daily for spiritual things? Those things that will build you up spiritually and encourage you in pursuit of peace, and to walk by faith and not sight so that you can overcome your old fleshly nature and walk in victory. Remember the example given us; our Lord Jesus Christ who through faith pressed forward against all that was contrary to God, and having suffered for us He overcame the world victoriously and is now seated at the right hand of God our Father. 2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) Hebrews 1:11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (KJV) Let your faith be in the ‘now’; live in right now, today, this moment where His strength is and… Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (KJV) Don’t be anxious about all of the tomorrow’s that haven’t yet come as it steals from the strength that you have been given to get through today. Keeping your focus on today will enable you to hear the Lord’s counsel for what you have need of in the ‘now’ so that you are strengthened and encourage to hold fast; to move forward having your steps directed by Him; and to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Brethren, now, don’t let the external circumstances disappoint, overtake or sway you, and please don’t quit as you might just be inches away from victory. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life and don’t’ let go. God bless and have a prosperous day in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
